Some I feel that this is not the proper way to teach your kids about guns

I hope this is a gag site but, if so, it has got me fooled. (Easy thing to do, I'm slow. Like a snail on phenobarbital).

Pretending it isn't fake: Man shoots son in head while teaching son to shoot

You don't have to read the link. The story, so far as it goes, is that some guy takes his kid to shoot. He walks away and the kid squeezes off a shot. Then things get weird. Dad feels like Junior is shooting at him so he shoots back. Junior catches one in the head. Junior is now **** up.

You're thinking: There has to be more to this story, the must be some nuance my summation has missed. And you are probably right, but dammit the story is "Dad takes son to shoot and returns fire"

Honestly it reads like one of those "My Dad caught me smoking so he made me smoke a whole carton of cigs" deals except, instead of smoking, it was "My Dad caught me shooting so he made me catch a whole mag of bullets" Plus, that crap never works.

OhShoot introduced me to shooting and I shot his target once out of ineptitude. I think he was slightly miffed but he didn't shoot me in the kneecap or anything.

tl;dr If yopur kid is shooting at you (and missing) you've done a crappy job of teaching your kid how to shoot. Sight picture and so forth.

One article said the father was 50 something, other 70 something years old? Talk about some discrepancies.

not surprising at all. i never really trust any news people to get a story even half way right.
