Waterproof Survival Guides/Pamphlets.

Recommended Posts

I was looking around at some new things that we just got in at work and came across these. We've had them on and off over the past couple years, but I never really thought much about it.   After looking through one today I thought that they actually are pretty nice little guides covering different topics from knots to edible plants.  They're waterproof so they might be pretty good to throw in a pack for reference should the need arise.

Nice, where can you get them? Also, I think the best, honest answer is knowledge weighs nothing. I learned many edible plants(and poisonous ones, probably actually more important), as well as ran through the SAS survival guide over a couple of months, practicing over and over what was in there as much as possible. I think the less gear you carry, the better.

Yeah, no problem. They're called "Duraguides," and each one is folded over several times with different sections of the topics. Like with combat first aid or first aid on one page it will say something like the necessary components, and then the next page will have the steps to treat say bleeding. Or in something like the case of the knots it shows the different steps.
