It's Nashville Armory IDPA night! July 9th - 6:45 PM. Shooting starts at 7:00. Stage one looks fun! Can't wait to bob and weave! For all beginners and new shooters to the Nashville Armory you'll want to be there before hand (6:15 - 6:30) to watch the mandatory range safety video and get the IDPA safety brief.

We had a good one last night with some really good shooters new to the Amory, but certainly not new to IDPA! We also had some shooter new to practical pistol that I hope enjoyed themselves. I had a great time, even if the wheels fell off by the second stage for me. Lesson learned... no more last minute dry fire!

One question, what is the rule for shooting too close to a target? Something about the pasters being blown off?

Either way, thanks again to the Armory, David and Mick ... .... Serpentine!!!!

Jim, sometimes match directors have to make their own stipulations about a stage to facilitate safety or fairness; these may not be explicitly covered in the rule book. The pasters thing was an example of this. Having said this, I should have created a barrier that shooters could not advance past on that stage. It would have eliminated the pasters issue as well as prevented people from shooting the wall, which happened twice last night.

Thanks again for helping to score!
