We have a free gathering each year. Starting in 2007 it will be hosted in conjunction with the "Friends of the NRA" banquet in Camden. What could be better than two free days of training and showing your support of the NRA? http://www.tacticalresponse.com/courses/alumni.php

State Dept. Sanctions 9 Foreign Companies By BARRY SCHWEID The Associated Press Wednesday, December 28, 2005; 1:55 AM WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration is punishing nine foreign companies, six of them in China, for selling missile goods and chemical arms material to Iran. In making the announcement Tuesday, State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said the sanctions were based on "credible evidence," which he did not disclose. Two of the companies are Indian and the other is Austrian. As a result, Ereli said, the United States will not provide export licenses to the companies for doing business here and will ban U.S. government purchases from the companies. The action was taken under the Iran Nonproliferation Act, which Congress passed in 2000 to deter international support for Iran's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and for missile-delivery systems. "It's an important and effective tool in constraining Iran's efforts to develop missile and weapons of mass destruction capabilities," Ereli said. "It does have an impact, particularly in alerting governments to activity taking place in their countries," he said. Preventing proliferation of dangerous technology is difficult "and there are always going to be those who put narrow commercial self-interest above greater social good or public welfare," the spokesman said. China, in the past, has denied its government or any of its companies have supplied missile or weapons-related material to Iran. In an unclassified report to Congress last year, the Central Intelligence Agency said Iran was pursuing nuclear and chemical-biological weapons programs and was trying to procure material from commercial entities in Russia, China, North Korea and Europe. The Washington Times reported the U.S. action in Tuesday's editions. The Chinese companies named by Ereli are China Aerotechnology Import Export Corp., the missile exporter China North Industries Corp., Zibo Chemet Equipment Co., the Hongdu Aviation Industry Group, Ounion International Economic and Technical Cooperative Ltd., and the Limmt Metallurgy and Minerals Co. The two sanctioned Indian companies are Sabero Organics Chemical and Sandhya Organics Chemical. The Austrian firm is Steyr-Mannlicher, which makes assault weapons. © 2005 The Associated Press http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/20...005122700698_pf.html

We use UTM. It fires out of real Glock 17s and 19s that have been modified not to fire real ammo.
-
Take it first. You will learn more.

Consider a quality lesther or kydex holster. While the neoprene holsters are comfortable they do not allow one handed reholstering and they do not hold the gun securely. If you were to fall down or be knocked down the gun would most likely go sliding across the ground.

Tungsten are you saying I am a fargin bastig?

Glocks and cars with automatic transmissions are both easier to use when people are shooting at you. This has nothing to do with my opinion. It is a fact. Glocks, or any gun that doesn't have levers and switches, are more simple to operate and require less cognitive thinking diversion and this is multiplied under stress. When you retain more of your critical thinking skills you allow yourself to consider tactics and not merely the operation of the gun. There are many levels of mastery when it concerns disciplines like shooting and defense. Many folks are "conciously competent" with their shooting. That means as long as they are thinking about it they can do it. The higher level of mastery is "unconscious competence" and this is the level you are at when you no longer have to think about your weapons manipulation. It is easier and faster to get a person to that level with a more simple design of gun. This is not my opinion or ego. This is a scientific fact.

Glock in 88 magnum.

More experienced? Really? More experienced than whom? "Something better than a Glock"? Is there someone here who would like to have a shooting contest against me with my factory Glock 19 with XS Sights?
-
I teach people to shoot nearly every day of the year. Glocks are more simple to use and are easier to teach. Less buttons and levers make the learning curve easier. Your dislike of Glocks and preference for Sigs and 1911s is a Freudian steer where you are pressing your likes and dislikes onto the shooter. This is why mental health professionals must be undergo therapy to keep from putting their issues onto their patients. Firearms trainers should too.

No pile ons at all. I have found that many inexperienced shooters are scared away by Glocks. It is a normal reaction for folks with little confidence to attach their fears to the equipment rather than their own inabilities and lack of knowledge.

10secL, When you added the magazine extender you increased your chances of malfunctions by 1000%. The problem is that extender didn't come with a longer magazine spring and the factory mag spring isn't long enough. YES it will work MOST of the time but you have sacrificed all of your rounds to get one more bullet. Engineers build guns and we somehow think we can change weights, angles, and springs tensions and the guns will just keep on working. They won't.

I am familiar with Gene Kennedy of Legally Armed. The books are a good source of material and handy to keep in your car if you travel a lot.

Whasssuuppp!

It is a HUGE difference to me. I have to stand on ranges every day of the week and explain to people why what they are doing is wrong and try to get them to change. The people who have been shooting the longest are resistant and the new folks are a breeze. I tell new shooters all of the time that the cost of a training class will be far less than all of the ammo you spend perfecting a substandard technique. A two day class can not onlytrain you and put you MILES ahead of "self taught" shooters it also teaches you have to PRACTICE properly which is invaluable.

Keep it concealed and holstered.
-
Wrong. PERFECT practice makes perfect. .......Imperfect practice just ingrains bad habits.

You can build some light portable target stands from PVC pipe. Build a base but don't glue all of it together and you can take it apart for transport. Drill a hole in them so you can tent stake them down on windy days. Use some 1x2s for uprights and you are good to go.
