Deimos, Small light .40s have too much recoil for most shooters. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. A 19 and a 26 have the same circumference so there is no issue there. She WILL be able to shoot a 19 better and that has nothing to do with how it "feels" while standing in a gunshop. Standing in a gunshop trying to evaluate how a gun will shoot is like sitting in a car dealership saying "vroom vroom" while sitting in a parked car instead of test driving it. Kahr pistols seem a favorite of many women and are good guns. My wife carries a Kahr P-9 or a Glock 19 with a grip reduction.

Your guys can take my advice or not. I am not concerned either way. When I tell you something is junk it is because it IS junk. They are JUNK. If you have to save get a Glock 19 and if you are on a tight budget get a Ruger P-95. Get the Glock if this is for self defense.

It has nothing to do with your choice of parts. It has everything to do with not buying a complete rifle. I saw well over one million rifle rounds go downrange last year. It matters.

Dave, Be careful. The sum of the parts do not always work well together. You know Frankenguns and their poor history in our classes.

Plugs do not protect your ears properly. Use MUFFS if you shoot much. If you shoot indoors use BOTH. Plugs cannot protect your hearing fully because the bones in your ear can still be vibrated through your lobes.

A glock 26 holds more than twice the rounds. is thinner, is easier to shoot and has better sights in addition to the fact it is faster to reload.
