I'm apathetic towards him. I don't hate or like the guy.
Here's where I am, too.
Yeager lost himself a ton of business the way he dealt with that guy
I don't know how much business he will lose (or gain), I just know he won't be collecting any Big Poppa dollars.

Meh. Wake me when the first college game is played.
This.

. A paper should be graded on the merits of the research and how well it's presented, noyt on whether the teacher agrees.
should. many times, isn't.

Doug Hutchison played a weird, creepy guy in "The Green Mile" and I always suspected that art was just imitating life. This proves it.

Doesn't seem to me to be a fake or gag site....looks like a local newspaper story.

Very sorry for your loss. Our dog is like our child, so I can relate.
Have a safe trip in, and Godspeed Chopper.

What has happened with this? How did it turn out? A co worker today told me that some Westboro protesters were arrested, but the evening news I watched didnt mention that...all they said was that a LOT of people showed up, lol. Anyone know for sure the details?
I was there. I haven't heard of an official estimate, but I'd say 1500-2000 people. Sgt. Balduf's family members were circulating through the crowd shaking hands and giving out hugs. Clearly, they were moved and appreciative by the show of support.
I don't think the WBC crew (6 or so) were arrested, but they were swiftly moved out of the area by Metro Police as soon as their assembly permit expired.

I thought that this one would already be listed. I hate the Verizon ad with the little ugly kid drinking a slurpee will questioning the sales clerk about a product.
I actually like that one....

I agree 100%. We talked about this in every HCP course I ever taught. "Just give them what they want, and they won't hurt us".........maybe it used to be that way, but certainly not anymore. There's no honor among thieves anymore.
Give them what they want and they will still shoot you in the head. If you're going out, go out fighting.

+ 1 to the "get cash now" opera commercials
+ 1 to the TVA radio ads that are supposed to sound like they're from the 40's
and......
the "education connection" go to college in your pajamas ad.

As a follow-up, I'm looking for some pay-as-you-go air cards as a backup. Anybody know of any?
-
I have a Verizon air card for internet access on my laptop. I get 5100 mb every month. I am routinely exceeding that usage and that overage runs into big $$$.
I'm no computer guy, but apparently that is an inordinate amount of data usage, especially since I don't watch streaming videos, don't game, and don't upload or download music files.
I do a lot of web browsing and watch the occasional YouTube video and news videos from the Nashville TV stations. I use the facebook instant message system about every night talking to my Dad, but just for a few minutes at a time.
What could be causing this excess usage? Is there possibly a setting on my laptop that is askew? I disconnect the internet every time I log off.

Okay, what is "Tap and Rack?"
"TAP" the magazine to make sure it is seated properly, then "RACK" the slide to chamber a fresh round.
TAP-RACK-READY is the standard malfunction drill when a round fails to fire (misfire, hard primer, etc.)

Maybe we should be bashing the idiot that brought in the loaded gun .......
I'm not "bashing" anyone, but it is ultimately the instructor's duty to manage that classroom or training environment. The instructor does not have the luxury to assume that students have either understood or obeyed pre-arrival directions.

You think they are teaching them something the cops here don’t know? Or do you think the fact that they may not have back-up most of the time has something to do with it?
We have a winner.
For many officers, the rate at which their interpersonal communications skills improve is directly correlated to the distance and response time of their backup.

Good folks here...
I concur. Good people and quality training. BTW that is some ultra high speed, super duper training if having "only" 5 magazines is a drag on the class.

Welcome aboard and make sure you know by the time you teach it, there's no "CCW" in Tennessee.
-
I clearly remember my grandparents eating pork brains and eggs when I was little. ......
I, too, was frequently served pork brains and scrambled eggs by my maternal Grandmother. I have yet to enjoy my first chitlin, however. I suspect it will be awhile.

Remember, there is what is not against the law and there is what is a good idea.
Just because you can doesn't always mean you should.

Both of you guys should be trembling in your boots over that starting rotation the Phillies have assembled. That's a Murderer's Row right there.
The only good news for the Reds in that regard is that we only play the Phils half as much as you East division clubs do.

I am ready for some baseball.
Hope to make a couple trips to Cincinnati to see my Redlegs. They'll also air a bunch of games of FoxSports Tennessee. I am hoping for (but really not expecting) another NL Central division crown. We did make some nice offseason moves locking down some of our young talent (Votto and Bruce in particular).
I'll also probably hit 8 or 10 Sounds games. They're usually a good time too and pretty economical.
Bad Joke...
