  1. Your finding new ones ? These were made in the late sixties and seventies by Mattel and now on EBay for around $500 ! You wound it up by pulling back on the bolt handle about 10 times and a speaker in the magazine area made a pretty loud machine gun sound ; no batteries.

Holy Smokes!!!!  It looks very similar to the one I got my son, but it's a little different. It doesn't wind up. You just pull the trigger and it makes an auto fire shooting noise. Also no batteries.

  2. I agree with Oh Shoot .

I got a letter with it when I bought it that said it was legal to own and did not make the pistol an SBR . They told some other guy that what he was doing was wrong and they only sent him the letter not me .

Mine has not been recalled , marked as illegal to own or install on my pistol . I shoot in my yard when I feel like , and that is not too often . How I shoot it ,hold it ,or anything else is my business and until they start rounding the braces up or putting people in jail it is all hear say .  I don't believe anything I hear and only about half of what I see .

    Best post yet!!!

  3. I started reloading about 2 years ago with the same kit.  I love it.....and it's very easy to use. If I can do it, anyone can!!! ;)

I just bet that your wife doesn't realize how much more money that you will be spending on reloading now......

Don't forget, the Rock Chucker Supreme Maser Kit doesn't come with everything you need to begin hand loading.

Tumbler, media, dies, brass, bullets, powder, primers, powder trickler, brass trimming kit and pilots (I like Lyman for trimming on a drill), and large/small swaging tool if reloading military brass.

Optional would be a decent digital scale (Gempro 250 or Frankford Arsenal Platinum Powder Scale), primer pocket uniforming tool, and a flash hole uniforming tool.

I've spent well over $1000 on this stuff!!!

  4. I'll definitely keep you and your family in my prayers. I'm dealing with a very similar situation with my mother right now.  I take care of her at home 24/7. She has dementia and Alzheimer's but, unlike your Grandmother, hers has been a long and drawn out process. She kept me up all night last night hallucinating.....talking and yelling out.....imagining people were there when they weren't. Hers started several years ago and they put her on two different Alzheimer's medications, which I feel is what has kept the disease from advancing at a much faster rate.  Anyway, I know exactly what you are going through and I will pray for you. If you need to talk, feel free to pm me sometime.

  5. Let's see....Erin is in upper East TN right? You could take a little drive down to Bud's Gun Shop in Sevierville and get an Anderson lower for $50 plus tax & tics. About $66 otd.

  6. I stopped in there Saturday...and they had a show case of used Itailian Police Beretta's 9 mm ....$299.00 and used police M&P's  9 mm for $299.00.....most likely gone by now......I stop in about once a week I like the store...but it lacks in things...if your into reloading.....building your own AR....etc......your outta luck

Yes, I agree with this. The first thing I thought when I walked in there was "look at all this unused space!!!"  They certainly have the room to sell more accessories.

  7. is the KAK tube still the best option for the SBX brace? I'm rounding up parts to put one together.

You might want to take a look at the Phase 5 Hex 2 buffer tube. I went with the KAK for my AK pistol, but I ordered the Hex 2 for my AR build. It might not have quite the length that the KAK does, but It looks fantastic and is made specifically for use with the Sig brace.

  8. Nothing super I know about yet. Best I've seen is 119.99 + 11.05 shipping:

    http://www.osagecountyguns.com/sig-sbx-stabilizing-brace.html

However, they're selling it on eBay for 130.32 shipped, just a bit cheaper, go figger. And it's also a "or best offer" listing, so guessing you might can get another Abe off that maybe.

My guess is it will stay at around that for a while until sales slow down. That same outfit was selling the SB-15 on eBay for 110 shipped for a while.

There are six listings on eBay cheaper than the $150 I paid, as I grabbed first one I could when only SIG had them for sale, not knowing what the availability was gonna be.

    - OS

Thanks OS! I made an offer on their eBay listing of $119.00 and they immediately accepted it. I guess I should have started lower!

  9. I went over to my sister's house about a week ago to visit.  She made me a cup of coffee with her Keurig coffee maker.

The next day, I had one sitting on my kitchen counter!  What an absolutely amazing and wonderful thing this is!!!

So who else here knows of the incredible and abundant joy that this machine will bring to your life?!!! :D

Seriously, if you have not experienced the absolutely delicious coffee that this machine makes, you need to treat yourself!

I like Emeril's Big Easy Bold and Tully's Italian Roast. Both are excellent (and STRONG!)!!!  What are some of your favorites?

  10. Although I'm not a guy, I feel that I am qualified to address this post. I'm 5'10" and 245 lbs and I've carried iwb for many years. One of the biggest problems when larger people try to carry iwb is the fact that our waistline is not flat like you lucky skinny folks out there. We are curvy and that can pose problems that skinny people don't even think about. When a larger person tries to wear a high riding holster (iwb or owb), it results in the butt of the gun sticking out from the body at the top (rather than laying flat against the body as it would on a normal sized person)......making it print really bad.  For bigger people, the trick to carrying iwb (or owb and concealed) is getting a holster that rides lower on the waist. When the holster is lower, the butt of the gun stays closer and tighter to the belt, making it hardly print at all under a loose shirt.

I've tried a LOT of holsters over the years, and there are only a few that I've found that really work for me:

-Crossbreed Supertuck (pros: very comfortable and lightweight, super adjustable allowing it to go very low on the waist......cons: allows perspiration to reach your gun)

-N82 (pros: rides low, very soft and comfy against the skin, completely blocks perspiration from getting to your gun......cons: only a single clip which sometimes allows it to move, especially when active)

-Leather/Kydex double clip holster from www.firearmholster.com (my personal favorite! an awesome holster that takes the best of both the Supertuck and the N82 and combines it into one great rig!)

The only other thing I would add is that no matter which holster you choose, you definitely want to get a good stiff gun belt......one that is actually made specifically for carrying a gun. I never realized how much this would help until I finally got one. I'll never buy another regular belt again!

    Hope this helps! :)

  11. I watched the show all the time. What I find really strange is the fact that Steph seemed to absolutely adore her daddy on the show. They seemed to be extremely close....almost like the perfect father and daughter relationship. I remember an episode from the last season where Will was inside a big tank and all of a sudden you see smoke coming out the top......Steph screaming "Daddy, are you ok?!!" and running over there to see about him. If I'd been raped by my father I don't think I'd have that much concern for his well being. It just doesn't make sense.

Do you guys remember the little monologues at the beginning of the show where it shows Will holding some big badass weapon as he warns "What you see here is done by trained professionals.....don't do this at home......etc., etc.......,"  and then in there somewhere he says "Wouldn't you like to be me?" Ever since all of this came out and he got arrested, Will saying that keeps playing over and over in my mind........"Wouldn't YOU like to be ME?!!" I would love to go visit him in jail! I would say "Wouldn't YOU like to be ME?!!"  LOL
