  1. I know what you mean about the big chain places. You might want to rethink about the kimchi. It was pretty dang good and they make it in house from scratch!
  2. I doubt that he will be allowed in the "next" gun show...
  3. When I first saw the title, I thought that it was the Nashville Fairgrounds. I'm glad that I was wrong. Unfortunately, this is what sometimes happens when someone doesn't want to play by the rules. Fortunately there was only minor injuries.
  4. That is good info to have for next time. Thanks OS!
  5. I figure that I am not the only one here that likes to eat....a lot. So, if you live near Nashville then you have to try a new place that I found in Cool Springs called Gloria's Korean Kitchen. It is a Korean Barbeque place. Great food with good sized portions (I actually had left-overs, that doesn't happen often). It is a little pricey though, $12-16 for most of their dinner entrees. IMHO it is well worth the money! It's on Carothers Pwky near Baker's Bridge Rd. Eat it...Love it...You can thank me later
  6. I have heard good things about Predator Custom Shop on Papermill Drive in Knoxville. They are better known for their custom AR's but they have a full service gunsmith. It is just a word-of-mouth recommendation and I have not used them myself.
  7. I wonder if different DMV's have different interpretation of the renewal procedure. I do agree that I doesn't make much sense to surrender a valid permit.
  8. Taurus PT-140. I never could shoot consistently with it. I have no doubt that is was the archer and not the bow...so to speak
  9. When I renewed mine, they also took my soon-to-expire HCP and gave me a receipt to use as my only proof of permit.
  10. I agree with hipower. I hate to see the jobs leave the area.
  11. Great looking pics. I need to spend some quality time and try to take some nice shots of my collection.
  12. Hands down my Remington 580 .22 single shot. I have had it since I was a kid and it is the best shooting gun that I have owned!

  14. I'm in love with the grips! I have been thinking about adding a Ruger to the collection for a while.
  15. Good looking gun, congrats!
  16. Great looking gun. Good job on the finish gunrunner!
  17. Gonna have a bit more recoil than the .45 LC. I'm not sure about the .480 or .454 Great looking gun though. I always had a blast shooting my Dad's S&W Model 29 when I was growing up.
  18. I have been curious about trying the Hornady Critical Defense in my G22. Has anyone had any experience with it?
  19. After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut - Will Rogers
  20. Harrington & Richardson 20 ga single shot. My dad got it for me when I was 6 months old. It took a few years until I got to shoot it!
  21. I love the wood furniture! Looks great!
  22. Sounds like a no brainer when you put it that way. Thanks for the info Dolomite!!
  23. That is what I have been leaning towards, but I wanting to check out the gunsmith possibility before I spent the money.
  24. I built my AR many years ago when the Clinton Administration gun ban was in effect. Since the ban was lifted, I have changed out most of the post ban parts. The only thing that remains is an imitation, press on A2 flash suppressor. The barrel length is 16" to the end of the imitation flash suppressor. Is is possible, or cost effective, to have a gunsmith cut off the imitation flash suppressor and pin or weld an actual working flash suppressor on the end? I am under the impression that permanently attaching it would still count toward my 16" minimum length. My other option would be to simply buy a new barrel and try and sell the post ban one for a few bucks.
