1. Ugh thanks for the vote of confidence :-) trying to decide if I should just keep holding out for one, or look at the marlin 336s.
2. Anyone here have one, shot one, held one? Really like the looks of it, I know, blasphemy for a lever action to not have any wood furniture on it, but I really like it. Fiber optic front and rear sights, plethora of rails (which is a bit tacky). And of course everyone and their mother is sold out of them. Hoping gun show this weekend Ill be able to find one, but not really holding my breathe.
3. Ordered light last night, can use for coon as well. The primo call is over priced. I can get a 400 sound caller for that price. I'd really like to call them in myself though. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
4. Oh, thank you both. I didn't even consider it being illegal to hunt at night. I'll read over the twra info thank you. I have taken to hunters safety course. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
5. Hello guys, my father and brother are big into hunting (turkey, deer, fishing) but I am not. Ive always been the tech in the family. And while I appreciste firearms, have my CCW, and love pistols....rifles just dont do much for me. Id like to begin coyote hunting. This past weekend I took my Rossi single shot 243, a tasco (yesh I know not the best) scope, and got it dialed in out to 75yds with some 44 grain ballistic tips my dad reloads. Seems like the only thing im (we're) missing is light at night. Thats what suggestions id like to hear. What do you all use for night light/vison/flash light when hunting coyote. Id rather not spend over $150ish on a setup. Thank you. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
6. alot of the m53's are beater rifles, decent bores, horrible looks.  I've also seen them for $99-ish.  Im holding out on an m44 to pay the extra buck for a nice looking gun.
7. Thank you for the heads up. I'm also looking for a s&w shield. I'm call them later on in the week to see if they still have it.
8. Thanks Jonnin, I do have my C&R if that was you was meaning.  But like I said. J&G, SOG, and the like do not have any (that I can find) for the 250ish price range.  I am also looking for something pocketable, i daily carry my P32, and would like to move it into a more of a backup peice.  I had an xd subcompact, but it was too wide/blockish for me.  Im going to have to stick with the single stacks.  I really like the shield, but havent found someone in town that has one.    But anyway, yes I'd like to have  mak, but would like to have a p64 as well, for the collectability.
9. I havent really seen a makarov for that price, or even seen a mak for sale for a while.  I had a Tok and it was horrible, so sold it.  Like I said I have an 82 (I know not a "real" Mak, but I'd like to have a mak.  If you find some in the 200ish range please let me know.
10. So pcrc, do you think theey will not be getting any more and I should buy one at the inflated price?  I've read about getting wolff springs from the DA trigger pull.  I seen buds had then for $165, but of course are sold out, and I dont know how far back that was either.  I bought an cz82 when they were 180, and now are up to 200 or higher depending on where you look.
11. Never been to one after christmas shows.  Im afraid prices are going to be even crazier then they usually are.  I'd like to find a P64, but doubt i will be able too.
12. Anyone here have a P64? I really want one for carry, but seems most dealers are sold out except 1 or 2 that are selling for 230-240, and I believe that is to much.  I already have a cz82, but would like a single stack for ccw carry.
13. anyone in the sevierville area wants to go for a ride, I'd be glad to take ya in mine Convertible, leather heated seats, its like driving a big gocart.
14. Hey guys. I finally got my charter arms 38 parkerized and it has a sleeve over the barrel that has the sight on in. I was wondering if anyone know If someone made a front sight that sticks on glues on or something. Of you need pics let me know. thanks
15. yea good luck finding it anywhere for <500. Seen 3 at gunshows locally and they have been gone by the end of the day. KT is also coming out with a RMR-30, if you havent seen it check it out. I'd like to have one, when Twisted Industries gets a 22lr conversion for it.
16. Ive lived in Sevier my whole live (albeit a short one) and love it here. I ride motorcycles though, and in the summer I jsut point in one direction and go. I usually try to stay outa pigeon forge and gatlinburg in the summers. I am going to school at ETSU in Johnson city, and absolutely love JC, and Jonesboro as well. Are you going to be getting extra $$$ for moving out here and uprooting your family? I think the best thing to do, is sit down with them and talk with them, and like someone said come up here a weekend and visit
17. So I stopped by JFloyds, they have a puma in stock, after handling the Colt 22lr rifle the Pump felt Tiny and light, I really liked it, it sighted well. Im just worried about customer support and functionality, I think it was pricced at $399. I believe I'll go to Wally world and check out the 10/22s. Is there a big difference between 10/22s? I know some come with heavier barrels and the such. I just want a cheap one, so i can get a different stock with it. Any suggestions? Thought about checking out academy sports in knoxville as well.
18. True, is there a big difference from the 10/22's different barrel lengths. I notice you can buy a heavy barrel as well. I like the arch angel stock, but really love the bull pup. I might go to Wallyworld and look at the 10/22's then!
19. Hey it seems us 3 are from Knoxville, we should all go in together and get one, and we can switch out weekends with her
20. Found this one, decked out for $343. Puma 22 50 Round Syn - $343.00 : Jet Guns, Smokin' Deals Someone buy this and let me shoot it! Can I get a 10/22 for around this price? Havent even priced them. I love my Marlin 60, but want a bigger mag to plink with. Thats all it'll be for.
21. Thanks Murga, I like the looks of it too, but I'd also like a bullpup design. As long as I can get about a 30 round mag I'd be happy. BTW you can buy the drum mags for the 10/22 for about $70 and have had good reviews. Black Dog Machine LLC - High Capacity Magazines for AR15.22 & Olympic M261 kits - Sitemap
22. Anyone heard of the brand Puma? What im looking for is a 22lr rifle that has more round capacity than my trusty ole Marlin 60. The coolest one I've seen is the Puma PPS22WC50 with a 50 round drum mag. Any other suggestions in the sub 400 range? Ive seen the AR15 types and the ruger 10/22. I like the rugers, as if I get bored I can get all kinda of different stocks and what not. But they are kinda pricey (the ones I've seen) Then I have to buy the extended mags. Also it seems like the drum on the Puma sits tighter/lower/closer to the gun itself. Here the link is at Buds, I've found it cheaper online though: Puma 50 + 1 22 Long Rifle w/Black Synthetic Stock $544.00 SHIPS FREE
23. Thanks TIm, when you say medium size, I've found no 80 grit abrasive glass beads. Will that work?
24. Thank you for all the info. Im gonna go to Tractor Supply tomorrow and see if they have it in stock. I didnt want to use sand anyway, I heard beads are much more forgiving. Also have you tried plastic beads? Only thing I want to do is get the nasty old bluing off so I can park or reblue. I think for the price difference Im gonna go with the table one. Edit: after looking up info on my air compressor the specs are: Single stage, 3 1/2 HP, 6.1 CFM @ 125 Max PSI 20 gal. Seems like it'll work, but might be boarderline.
