  3. Uhm got a magic kennedy killer bullet outta tha judge. "He goes to pick the gun up touches the trigger (this reads while its on the floor it seems)" "bullet travels through his right thigh exits then through his left leg just above the ankle" uhm sounds like its now suddenly next to him on the seat. So there s a hole here..if it discharged while he was touchin it on floorboard he would be reachin over..chest would be a lot closer than an ankle to his thigh in a bent over seated position. Obviously the bullet is one of those crazy hollowpoint sidewinder loopeddeedoodaadss. Obviously. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
  4. Having worked retail and having been robbed at gunpoint for both money and pharmaceuticals I've have dwelled upon this. I worked next door to a restaurant that was robbed and two employees were taken to the back & murdered. I often think about this when I'm out in stores. Having a hcp and gun does not make you a police officer. The majority of the time when weapons are used for armed robberies they are used solely as tools of threatened menace and to provide robbers authority. They may fire warning shots to capture attention but these people are typically opportunistic and looking for the easy score. They know to get that money they need the weapon. They know using the weapon gets them to the aggravated assault & armed robbery charges. Both of these are half the sentence time of actual homicide/manslaughter charges if they use that weapon to kill. The difference between doing 3-7yrs or 12-15+. Each situation is different. Dept store with lots of witnesses..gas station where anyone can show up in 15seconds.. typically quick flee jobs. Medium-smaller stores with fewer customers or isolated areas greater incentive to eliminate witnesses. You have to assess the perp's apparent intent, majority of the time the best thing in my opinion is to use your heightened awareness to provide accurate description & details most ppl overlook to help arresting leo. Protect anyone you can from collateral damage in whatever order of personal importance u deem.. family, friends, children, etc. If you draw but don't fire immediately you may as well be a cop in a standoff as far as the perp is concerned. Ancillary damages to innocent bystanders etc. With the best of intentions You escalate from an emotionally traumatic experience to life ending possibly for an innocents accidentally hit if u miss or mis-time. The important thing is to have confidence and muscle memory from hours of training so that if it hits the fan and best judgement requires you intercede you don't miss, you don't just maim, you take it old school. Two to the heart, one to the head. Don't waste a bunch of my money with court proceedings for trash. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
  5. I'd go for the rifle/shotgun table lamps exceptin the whole $400+ price tag. I like the idea of dual function. How about 178deg security motion lasers installed on those sconces. I'd give $150. Clay no way.
  6. but you must acknowledge that those were demonstrating mastery of that skillset, to pass you must accomplish a Minimum still. My point is that no testing will be inclusive of the skills that must be honed over time. There are varying degrees of difficulty where you can set minimums at but those are still all Entrance exams to play. to go pro you gotta practice
  7. Unicorns exist. They're fat, gray, can do upwards of 35mph and are mean as hell. Ceratotherium simum or more commonly referred to as rhinoceros.
  8. For the HCP instructor to evaluate the "expertise" is not the job. They're responsible for the attendants & employees safety in accordance to the rules they outline. They're to provide instruction regarding the Basic laws & Basic operational hardware of firearms. They're to administer a Basic range test. The same holds true for driving exams, scuba certifications, small plane pilots, etc. You just need to pass Minimum requirements. Continuing in any endeavor that requires licensing or certification with ignorance and without practice may result in death, especially real estate & insurance agents hah. Allow a little natural selection to work for us here with a bit more hands off approach. This is why when I buy an iron or toaster it's got a multi lang manual that cost half the production price because of all the disclaimers, warnings & indemnification clauses that won't be read by the idiots who killed themselves to warrant aforementioned. If you build walls based on ignorance or idiocy we can't have our village right. Less rules.. if society was a tad dicier we wouldn't have so much time to have idle playgrounds and be quite so hedonistic. The gov't shouldn't infringe any further on our 'inalienable rights' that are constitutionally declared rights as granted by God. I tell people freely I'm beholden to no man on this earth so please take a step back. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
  9. This is a tragic incident that I believe could have been mitigated had some greater consequences occurred during his 05 incident which seems to have demonstrated enough lack of judgement that it merited more severe punishment. This does a disservice to every leo out there, their life is hard enough without adequate compensation as it is, they don't need to suffer additional prejudice because of a few bad ones. If he has to be housed separately because 'prisoners have access to computers' this just irritates me more though it is valid for any leo being housed in their state of service. Not to hijack but I don't think prisoners should be permitted internet access or television. It's infuriating to see the country club. err...prison that nutjob in Norway will spend his life in...looks like a freakin all inclusive resort. We spend too much money on food, medicine & wages to watch them(nothing against prisonguards..they should probably earn more money...but if we use different systems we may not require as many guards). via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

  12. This is a pretty funny video if you spend any time in forums and contemplating SHTF scenarios of TEOTWAWKI. If you looks at some of the other 'survivalistboard' videos you may glean some useful tidbits of info in seriousness. But SHTF is heavy stuff & everybody needs a laugh now and then..

  15. Use tact & wisdom. I don't question the myriad of cute baby shower items that are useless when she buys them, I don't question the random jewelry from somebody on etsy.com when she buys it. I shower her unexpectedly with flowers, chocolates, fragrances, jewelry, etc. Periodically I bring home another box of ammo. We don't hide stuff from each other but we don't ask, she tells but that's cause she's a she. And if I tell her it's gonna be about the killer deal I got that couldn't be beat because she'll see it around anyways. If I come clean bout firearms she won't notice the ever burgeoning paperback book collection hah via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
  16. I haven't seen any gun laws pertaining to visual disabilities. I would probably discourage carrying small arms for protection simply because she would have such a bigger margin for error especially of innocent bystanders. It's a challenging enough situation for those with good vision. Id recommend a dual trained service dog, upgrading her walking stick to something with some oompfh and providing her with martial arts training if she's physically capable. Carry a machete, nunchuks, knives, tazer, stun gun etc. Projectiles in unfamiliar environments will probably end up cause more harm than good & if she is Allowed to get the hcp I think she be running a high risk of liability if she misses. I've seen how blind people can memorize their surroundings & navigate a whole house without bumping into anything so I think some home defense gun would be okay actually. Perhaps someone else will weigh in on law permit/prohibit. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

    Revolver to Auto

There's nothing inherently wrong or inferior about a revolver, six shooters & black powder helped make this country. As the scope of warfare, law enforcement changed greater capacity was mandated accordingly. When I can comfortably conceal carry something with a 30round magazine I'm sure somewould call 10round mags sucky. They all render paper targets holy. As will the fearsome pinky finger of death. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

  23. Actually monster cables are among the crappiest when it comes to durability. We've got a bin at work of ones with broken off tips..weird kinks etc, we throw away nothing for some reason lol. The cheaper work Just as good and sometimes last longer. Monster has a 'few' reasonably priced surge protectors but they tend to run 15-20% more than other Brands. My point really is that for that price 40bucks you can get better tech if you forego the convenience of the plate deal. When it comes to tech I go by function, price then appearance. Its a tool to do a job that's all. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
  24. I used to live a block and a half away on fairfax in the 90s & went to Eakin elementary where this corner is in the 80s. This is considered a very friendly safe neighborhood near Vandy. Iit's unfortunate but hopefully a stark reminder to that community that no area is impenetrable to commuting criminals. My long standing argument is what incentive do poor criminals have to commit carjackings & home invasions etc in their own poor community. Living amongst affluence does not isolate you from danger. Delusions of safety are ill advised. One stolen car and some stolen possesions should be counted as fortunate in this scenario. Rape and double homicide are very realistic alternate realities to this ending. Greater situational awareness may have forestalled this by having locked doors with the vehicle still running and a preparedness for a suspicious looking group approaching. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
