  1. I would check to make sure that this isn't what you are talking about Board for Licensing Contractors - Home Improvement Licensing Requirements
  2. Anyone heading out to the back 40 Outreach this year for opening day dove? A buddy of mine last year had a good hunt there, just wondering if the same could be expected. Who knows, sometimes the hunt is good north Tennessee, other years it's great to the south. Any leads? I got my ears on...

    Sig question

I got a Sig P229 and love it! It's the kinda love that increases over time.
  4. I found news channel 5 to be gun friendly. They report if someone has a hcp in a defensive shooting or if a hcp could have changed things. I only watch channel 5 now
  5. 2000 rounds? Sounds like you are headed for Moyock, North Carolina
  6. I see reasons for both but 99% of the time, here in Nashville, it's better for me to stay concealed. I wouldn't want to get pulled into something and HAVE to use the weapon, only because I was OC. FOR ME--that weapon is a tool used to aid my "retreat to safety" when my life is in danger, nothing more. I don't want to think of all the "what if's" so I don't. If that weapon is being pulled then I am in imminent danger of losing my life or limb. I think the police here in Nashville do a good job with what they got and I rely on them to fight the crime. If a bank was being robbed and I didn't feel like my life, or anyone else's, was in jeopardy then I wouldn't get involved. I'm not scared of the bullets, I'm scared of the lawyers that may follow.
  7. Amen, db99wj ! I am a Christian and I believe in protection of others, especially those who can't protect themselves. I find it my duty to help those who truly need it, I believe this man can make my job much harder.
  8. There are several reasons to avoid surgery in Romania, if none of them are good enough for you, this will be... http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/article.html?in_article_id=33257&in_page_id=1
  9. I say do it. It may be just enough to lean the "Risk vs Reward". Increasing the risk for the assailant will minimize you being their mark.
  10. I got a buddy who thinks he would like to buy a P99. I told him he should shoot one before purchasing. Does anyone know of a gun shop in Nashville that has a range and a P99 for rent? I own a Sig P229 and he doesn't like the feel, he likes the P99, I showed him the Walther PPS but still no go. I need to find a place that will let him shoot a P99. Thanks, Sam
  11. I own and shoot a p229, with night sights, that always shoots low too. I think the Sig form has more info on that issue. You can just buy a new front sight
  12. Well, if I did have to walk in downtown Memphis at 2 am wearing a tux with $100 bills sticking out. I for one, would want to be armed and prefer it to be visible. A concealed weapon is nice but you would probably look like a big target. I see pro's and con's to both. I see the need to open carry when you are put in a situation where YOU might be the victim ie. east Nashville, Memphis, any ghetto (some of us don't have the luxury to just avoid dangerous places) I see the need to conceal when in Brentwood or Bellemead, where "IF" something did happen you can best decide "if and when" to use it. OC, CC it's all about the best tactical situation, in which, your environment is a key factor
