  1. I appreciate your opinion and see how LE would try to interpret the law as best they could and enforce it in the same manor but they can't make charges stick without breaking a law. Were you carrying a weapon within the confines of this restaurant, no your honor I wasn't. Officer XXX, did you see mister xxx carrying a weapon within the confines of this restaurant, well, no your honor I didn't. Well, officer XXX, why did you arrest him for carrying a weapon within the confines of this restaurant? I believe that will be the last time officer XXX try's to interpret the law for judge XXX
  2. If you don't want to carry "outside of a restaurant where they placed a seat for your comfort" then don't, it doesn't effect me but if your suggesting that because ABC had to make amendments to their restrictions to allow patrons to drink "outside" then you are mistaken. You might find that within those amendment restrictions, they restrict entry and exit through outdoor seating area (not sure on that). I DO know that anytime "open air" restrictions exist on handguns bans, it is made C L E A R. I would use sporting events in stadiums as my prime example.
  3. That seems like reckless endangerment
  4. There is NO play on words, "within the confines of a building" is just that, inside of 4 walls, notice the wording with "CONFINES" . Yes, if you have to enter the patio from the inside you would be in violation at that time and a judge could find you guilty but as long as you remain outside during the entire time, you are legal. Oh, and I would also point out that you had no intent to circumnavigate the law either. You took proper precaution not to enter the "confines". I wouldn't try to question the "intent of the law" over "the wording of how the law is written" you are protected by the wording, but not necessarily the intent, a judge can interpret that.
  5. Be advised, if traveling into areas with bears.. On more then a few occasions scared dogs have brought angry bears to unknowing hikers
  6. Just because they serve alcohol doesn't mean you can't carry there. You just can't go inside. It's nice weather around this time of year, get seated outside and carry to your hearts content, but please do us a favor and conceal it, we don't need bad press and more restrictions.
  7. They are ingravable, you just have to click on the option
  8. I just had 6 gerber knives engraved with initials for my groomsmen about a month ago. I payed about 31 dollars a knife. Here is the link. Gerber Trendy Black | Gerber Knives | Hunting Knife on Sale
  9. I will send a brief email if you post the email address too
  10. You can bet on all hospitals being a weapons free area, not only because of the narcs but quite simply, it's against their mission. They see enough of the gun and knife club on friday and saturday night in the E.D. If a problem develops inside you can bet on someone getting a shot of lights out medicine
  11. Well now that you own one Fred, I guess we can go ahead and tell you that shotgun is one word. ;-) haha, just joking, congrats. I'm a Benelli man too SBEII
  12. It is legal, but not advised, to kill an animal presumed to cause you serous bodily harm or death as long as you are not in the commission of a crime.......I believe this can be assumed......
  13. Not to sound like a monday morning quarterback but it sounds like beating the trusted family dog was the most logical choice which yielded the proper result instead of discharging a projectile at nearly the speed of sound around a fast moving target attached to your child... I would tell your wife she exercised good judgement in a high stress situation...
  14. Greene Military has tons of Nylon belts
  15. I didn't see anyone in Alaska, at least in bear country, with just a Glock. I strongly recommend to anyone (that I would want to see again) heading out into backcountry Alaska to take at least one 12 gauge loaded with slug-buckshot-slug (454 casull will do too). A 10mm Glock with good shot placement might be good enough for a black bear but a charging brown or grizzly you need more power and spread.
  16. I know of a great firing range in the middle east
  17. Anyone under the age of 21 has absolutely no reason to be anywhere near a liquor store... The proof?....There is not a thing in there that he is of age to purchase.
  18. Yea, there is tons of accidents were innocent bystanders have been shot Typically involving drive-by shootings (lots of lead and lots of misses)
  19. I enjoy hunting the old way too but I maintain my composure like a proper gentleman.

    First Shotgun

My first was the Ithaca 37, on my thirteenth b-day. Then I acquired the Remington 1100 I used growing up for dove hunting. Last but not least, my Benelli Super Black Eagle II, which is a worry free shotgun which handled the wet conditions of Alaska without rust, wear, or malfunction.
  21. The ammunition shortage is a sure sign that if things get much worse, guns would render themselves useless without a reloader.... If you do want to stock up anyway, I would buy Sig, Sig, Sig
  22. I make it a habit not to read USA Today but this caught my eye! New California law tracks ammunition sales - On Deadline - USATODAY.com
  23. My soon to be brother in-law has a Remington 7mm thats NIB and he would like help from me to sell it or help him trade it for a handgun, how should I help him out? I told him to just go to a gun shop and he did but they wouldn't give him a fair trade because handguns have been selling good and long guns have been slow. Is there a shop around Nashville that's fair or a trading post which yields fair results? Any suggestions would be helpful, I've never sold guns, I just buy them.
