  2. ‘Lane Kiffin Sewage Center’ Vol Fan Files to Rename Water Treatment Facility Wednesday, January 20, 2010 Some Tennessee fans aren’t happy about the way Lane Kiffin left the University. But one Vol fan wants to pay tribute to the former head coach by naming a Knoxville facility in his honor. The University of Tennessee has a history of naming buildings and streets after former greats. Neyland Stadium, Peyton Manning Pass, and Phillip Fulmer Way are examples. Knoxville attorney Drew McElroy has filed paperwork with the Knoxville City Council’s Public Properties and Facilities Naming Committee to rename a waste water treatment plant on Neyland Drive the “Lane Kiffin Sewage Center.” McElroy said after driving down Neyland Drive and seeing all the history, it hit him. Renaming the Kuwahee Wastewater Treatment Plant would be the best way to let Kiffin know he understands why the coach left. He told Knoxville’s NBC affiliate WBIR, “We don’t have to rename the entire facility after him, just a part of it,” he said. McElroy conceded just a cesspool at the facility would be enough to satisfy him. MCElroy states the requested name change is “to honor our recently departed head coach and raise awareness of the good work done by the Knoxville Utilities Board.” “I think it’d be very fitting. He’s definitely garbage,” UT Student Paul Mills said.
  3. A semi-auto jammed on me during a critical incident many, many years ago. I was luckily able to clear the pistol and maintain control of the situation. I have never had that worry since that time by carrying a revolver. I still own and enjoy shooting autos, though.
  4. Damn . . . are you sure his name isnt TIGER?
  5. Nashville Council Sucks

  9. My wife prefers the original Ruger grips on her SP 101 as they fit her hand better than the Hogue grips I have had on it. But the hard plastic inserts in the grip are UGLY! There used to be places that sold very nicely finished wooden inserts for the Ruger grips, but I'm having no luck locating any makers now. Do any of you have any suggestions where I might find wooden grip inserts for the SP 101? Thanks!
  10. Good . . . if you get rid of that gun, you WILL regret it for the rest of your life. I have been offered $2000 for the A5 that was my grandfather's, my father's, and mine. If I sold it, I would be highly depressed and regretful
  11. As usual for you Sir, extremely well said!
  12. EVERYTHING I have read about him mentions his strong recruiting skills.
  13. Well, at the very least we get a man with character, values, respect for tradition, and an understanding of football. This is a foundation upon which we may build. So much more than what we had . . .
  14. GREAT article on Dooley from Sports Illustrated . . . worth a read: Tennessee fans may not know it, but Derek Dooley is coaching upgrade - Andy Staples - SI.com

  18. Don't tell anyone, but I bought 4,687 of them . . .
  19. He is genuine, well-spoken, respectful of what Tennessee is, and thankful for his past and those who helped him get here. Also, early on he referred to his family as part of his decision making process and the toughness of making moves. When you look at the age of his kids, while he did not promise stability, as a father, you know he wants it for them. Now fans, we have to give him time and hope, and when the big wins don't come fast, patience needs to keep us from sending moving trucks to his house the way we did in Bill Battle days.
  20. I always wanted to be in a "photo op"
  21. OH HELL YES!
  22. My favorite word: PROCESS
  23. YES SIR!
  24. Wow . . . took a real shot at Kiffin telling reporters that he is not going to give sound bites or shoot at other programs . . .
  25. He mentioned that . . . very kewl
