  1. Looking at HSGI chest rigs and taco pouches. Anyone have any experience with their products?? In the market for a setup to take some shooting courses and weighing options since I would be dropping a bit of money on this type of equipment. Thanks in advance for any info....
  2. Most of these weights are probably almost or as old as me....I didn't even think about there possibly being anything other than lead weights is these buckets since my dad told me thats what they were, I just took him at his word since that's what he always called them....would steel and zinc alloys have a higher melting point than what a typical reloading pot would provide since those pots aren't designed to melt the harder metal that steel etc would be??
  3. i have a bunch of wheel weights i inherited from my dad....how do you know if they are zinc??? are those the newer wheels wgts that look like little squares??
  4. they have a giveaway for one in a couple of weeks...maybe i will luck out....
  5. lol...i saw that...glad i am not in the position to deploy anymore or that would have been on my wishlist....
  6. yea, i like that about them as i don't tend to always be "politically correct" myself...they make alot of neat stuff...the cobra belt i bought is friggin' awesome!
  7. Recently came across this gear maker online and from a few local friends and wanted to give them a little plug on the board. I bought a rigger belt from them and will be getting a micro rig in the near future to use in some rifle/pistol classes i will be taking end of this year/beginning of next year. What I have seen so far and recommendations I have found online, they are definitely worth the look: http://originalsoegear.com/index.html
  8. what about the supremacy clause in the constitution and SCOTUS opinions/decisions regarding treaties signed by the US not superseding Constitutional law? just throwing it out there...

    1100 conversion

yes, same gun...not really looking to sell as the gun belonged to my dad...i have a friend who has FFL and sells from his home so i am checking with him on parts also...curious to ask, why don't they make adjustable butt stocks for 1100 shotguns like they do for 870s? Just curious as I don't really see the difference in recoil between shooting either gun and multiple users would have access to this 1100....does the 870 stock mount in identical fashion as the 1100 and could one of these stocks for an 870 be crossed over to an 1100? thanks again for the info, very helpful...
  13. I am looking to convert an 1100 from a stock hunting gun to a more tactical type gun w/ shorter barrel and different furniture. I don't really know where to begin as far a what type of barrel to get and am looking for something in the 21" range. Any ideas or thoughts on where I should begin? Thanks for your help in advance....
  14. I think the pic of the "E" model on the center monitor is much more appealing...
  15. could the stock ruger 10/22 action and barrel be transferred to the stock?? would like to look into swapping into something like that... ***nevermind....i used this new thing i discovered called google....***
  16. my oldest is 15 and youngest is 11. they have both shot the 10/22 rifle that i have for them and both like it. i can feel them eyeballing my .40 wanting to shoot it, but can tell they are a little squeamish when it comes to actually putting it in their hand and shooting it...just basically looking for something they can shoot and get a comfortable feeling but not lose the respect for firearm safety in general...i have a friend who has a MKIII and have shot the pistol...seems to be a great gun...just spotted these also and was looking for some info on them...
  17. not so much worried about my wife...she shoots 9mm, .40, & .45 cal like a champ...it's more just convincing her to let me get the dang gun...
  18. Looking around for a plinker and something to get my kids intro'd into pistols without freaking them out on a heavier caliber gun. I've looked at the Sig Mosquito and the Ruger SR22. Reviews seem to be ok, but looking for any others on the forum that may have personal experience with these guns. From what I've read, the Sig can be a little picky on ammo on initial break-in, only using CCI ammo per the manufacturers recommendation. Thoughts? Thanks in advance...

    Range Report Kahr CW9

I bought my wife a CW9 for carry....it seems to shoot well, but is really too small for my hands. Trigger pull also seems a little high for me, but that might be because the gun is too small for me as well. I wish that magazines were a little more plentiful and less expensive, but hind sight is 20/20.
  20. i got fingerprinted on 1/20 and received my permit on 2/4
  21. i did my application and fingerprints on 1/20, got mine this past saturday...2wks...
  22. went to the DMV today and filed the application and was able to get a finger print appointment today also. hoping to get it in the 2-3 wks most people are experiencing right now...***crossing fingers***
