  1. I have a set of carbide dies for this caliber, but have not reload this caliber, yet. I have reloaded most pistol calibers but this one. I would like to use 124 grain HP bullets but can't find any. I have plenty of 115g Hornady 9mm HP. I have looked at reloading manuals and am considering Accurate powder #2. #5 or #9. #9 gives the highest velocity. These rounds would be for pratice. I could use a FMJ bullet also. My reloading press is a Dillon 550. What powders , charge, fps, and bullet do you use? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  2. I'm wanting to compare these two conceal carry semi-autos. I have the P239 which shoots great and recoil is not bad, but gun is heavy for conceal carry. I have been looking for a used Glock 33 to compare accuracy, recoil and carry weight. After I compare, I'll sell the loser. What is the opinion of TGO members who have these guns? thanks
  3. I'll probably be there, for I'm looking for used Glock Model 33. Maybe someone will be there with one for sale.
  4. I owned a P2000sk in 9mm in LEM. Loved the trigger pull and accuracy. It also held 10 rounds and grip was slim. I bought mine used for $650 with 4 mags. I tried conceal carry but was too big/heavy for me. I sold it and went to the Kahr PM9 which is very small/light and easy to conceal, but only 6+1 rounds. Good luck with your choice, everyone is different, that is why there are 100's of guns to choose from.
  5. I too have a Glock 21 SF, before this model was too fat in the grip. It is hard to beat a Glock based on price, quality and round capacity. This model is very accurate too. G21 has alot more rounds than an eight round 1911. This is my house and range gun. The G36 is one of my carry guns. Enjoy your new Model 21!
  6. I put a 3.5# connector and a NY#1 spring in my Glock 36 Gen3 and trigger pull is smoother and feels better
  7. I usually go, but want be there this weekend. Having to pay for parking and admission sucks. I like the Murfreesboro show better. May goto Hendersonville show next weekend, more guns to look at and more possibillity of trades.
  8. I have a new LCR 357 and have not decided best way to carry concealed. Pants pocket carry, gun feels too big, coat pocket is okay. My PM9 I carry right front pants pocket or coat or on occasions IWB holster over right kidney. Both pocket and IWB are very concealable with PM9. Those that have the LCR, what is your carry mode? thanks
  9. I had a conceal carry in Ohio and moved back to Tn and Tn accepted my Ohio carry and I waited about 4 wks to get my Tn permit in the mail. I carry the PM9(16 oz unloaded) in a pocket holster or in IWB holster on right kidney side. Hardly know it's there. I have a LCR in 357 (17.1 oz unloaded)that I am thinking about carrying on occasion, but I have not decided on carry mode, yet. Any suggestions on carry mold for LCR?
  10. I have only shot about 100 rounds thru my PM9, no problems at all. I have a laser guard on the front and it is hard getting use to dot, since I have used sights for so many years. Group size at 10yds is less than 2" and centered on target. I believe one of the best and most reliable conceal carries there is. I had the PM40 and its recoil was not bad, alot lighter than the Glock 27.
  11. With everyones input and how these guns fit me, I have narrowed down to the PM9 and the LCR for regular most every day carry. The G36 for when a coat or heavier outer wear can be used. The P239 handles well but too heavy. Thanks for all the input.
  12. I have several compact handguns: Glock 36, Kahr PM9, Sig P239 in 357 Sig, and Ruger LCR in 357, all diferent calibers. I tend to switch between guns and feel I might be better off sticking with one paticular gun and caliber. All the handguns are accurate and recoil is controllable. The G36 and P239 require holster carry while the others are pocket or ankle holster carry. Which handgun do you think is the best for self defense carry? I need help in deciding.
  13. I have the LCR 357 Mag and recoil with the magnum loads is harsh. The 125 g HP is not quite as harsh as the 158g HP. Regular 38 spec and P+ are plesant. Accuracy with 38 spec's are centered on target at 10 yds while P+ and 357 mag are low right for me. Grouping is 2" or less. Great gun and plan on carrying with P+ loads.
