Some of the guns mentioned are a little like Legos for grown ups. The 365 is designed to take the FCU and change grip modules/slides to fit your desired size/need. The P320 has grip modules and an FCU for the same reasons. Most glocks now come with backstraps to adjust the size of the grip to fit your hand. I bought the non-pro Hellcat because I could put an extended magazine in it but couldn't chop the 15 round pro down at will. I can use the flush fit 11 round if I pocket carry and a 15 round if I am going to put it on my belt but still print a lot less than my 19 with a red dot and weapon light. But it is the same gun. My time spent shooting that weapon both from a reliability and from instinct for the controls, sight picture, etc. carries over from pocket to belt. A lot of people will use multiple guns from the same manufacturer for a similar effect. Grip sleeves and pinky extensions just allow customizing the grip like the backstraps. I have seen people remove some of the finger groves from a Gen 3 glock but not all of them to better fit their hands. Looked really weird but good for them. As for the full capacity reloads, you could argue most will never need a reload, but if I am going to carry an extra magazine, say with my Hellcat. Why on earth would I carry an extra 11 round instead of a 15? If I have shot my gun and felt the need to reload then it is probably not going back in my pocket and I doubt I am concerned about concealing it from that point forward.

Defender, I have helped someone three times for what you are talking about doing. Only one of the times was guns and the other two were guitars. The smallest collection was over 350 guitars and about half that in amplifiers. Two times it was with someone who was at an age they thought they should slim down the collection while they were still here to know what was being sold, the values, etc. Once was my Dad's stuff after his death. There has been a lot of good advice for ranking, deciding, and planning. I will offer you one piece of advice. Do what brings you peace and joy about it. If your focus is liquidating a good segment of a collection for your wife after you are gone. Focus on the valuable guns that you are confident you won't shoot anymore and convert them into a nice nest egg you can invest for her somewhere. If you are concerned with the sheer workload you might leave someone to deal with then find a younger friend that enjoys the selling and give them an understanding of what you want done so your wife isn't burdened. In the end, as much as we all enjoy them, it is just stuff. Hope that helps.

Yes, I have a mag to go with it.

This is a surplus M1 Carbine. I think it is an IBM based of the serial. I do not know much more about it but I have two others and don't need all three. I am asking $900 and in the Knoxville area for meeting up.

I bought this gun years ago and shot it once. Haven't used it since. I think they don't hammer forge the barrels anymore. Asking $500 and in the Knxoville area to meet up.

Can't tell in the photos for sure. Is the slide cut for an optic? If so, did it come with plates?

I ordered a new front sight for my 92x which has a dovetail but the curved, open slide isn't going to work for my sight pusher or a friend's I borrowed. Does anyone have a gunsmith in Knoxville they have used for this type of work?
