I was raised in Baltimore and used to fish the pylons of that bridge from Dad's boat as a child. I shed a tear or two when I first saw the footage. I just happen to be headed tomorrow to visit the parents, the last leg of the trip being on 695. Yay... Pray for me as I will be on two wheels. Jay

My point was that paying the tax when you buy the gas is, in effect, mileage based and reasonable. Just slapping an extra $200 on the EV registration, as TN has done effective this year, does not accurately coincide with the vehicle's usage and, for low mileage drivers, becomes a penalty, not a fair use rate. If they want to do this, then they should cancel the gas tax and add the arbitrary additional amount to every vehicle registration. Then we can all be upset together!

If it were mileage based to be fair, it would be ok. My wife drives maybe 100 miles a week in her Leaf. She will now be paying more than her fair share of "tax" revenue.

I'd like to know, also. I've been in Knoxville for about 2 years and done no shooting. I need to fix that. This range is close but the hours are weird and the staff is, also.
