any time just let me know
You tell me.
It rains agood bit, but not enough to bother me. Unless its that sideways rain and Im stuck outside working in it. When did you live in Raleigh?1973 - 77. I liked the place. Found my Ember's Club ID the other day. Back then, NC did not have liquor by the drink. But you could buy a "club membership" Another DUH moment for a state legislature.

actually, I was completely sober when I wrote that. I just had a lot to say and a very small soapbox to say it on...
Sorry, I didn't mean to slight you, but it still doesn't make any sense.
Projection is not a logical construct without significant evidence.

NCIS Mark Harmon not playing his usual "pretty boy".
I know a number of real people who are like Harmon's character. Very real to me. Smart. Independent. But still within the lines. BTW, they kinda' act like a "pretty boy" when they work. But those around them know what is really going on.
As I said it's my favorite show. They must have some great advisors to pull it off.

I do not apologize for history. Mine or anyone elses, especially to people that feel they are intitled just because they are too friggin lazy to get off the sofa and make a life for themselves.
With acropolises for grammar, I agree. That pretty much the story.

Oh my goodness. I'll have to sober up before I can interpret all of that. Just kidding.
But as one of my friend's said, drunken stumblings generally mean more that which are accepted as wisdom on internet.
Basically,I expect the Libertarians to be around as an unimportant irritant for quite a while.

I always think of stuff like this from an engineering standpoint. Hey, I'm an engineer, among other stuff. If it was TOTALLY solid, it should be as good as a standard bi pod. But of course it isn't nearly as solid.
I'd pass on it.

sure do
Uh....I'm just up in Sullivan County. When can I come for supper?
-
Pulled bbq sandwich with coleslaw and soem Texas Pete. Side of fried shrimp, mashed potatoes and gravey smoked sausage bacon and mac and cheese. I was hungy... now Im full and tired as hell!
Wilmington was always interesting. I always hit there about twice a month when I lived in Raleigh. It always poured down rain when I went there.
But if I still lived in Raleigh, I'd be headed down toward your place.

Sounds like what I need for my roast.
-
I'm fat. Fall and Spring are best for my kind.
But in Tennessee that's not good swimming time.
Gee...I think this sounds familiar.
-
I was out at Wally-world this morning and ran into bottles of Oak Leaf Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for less than $3 a bottle. Since I just wanted some for a beef roast, I grabbed it. 13% alcohol, that I couldn't care less about, but I figure the $3 goes for the alcohol tax.
This stuff any good at all?

Any of you folks, besides me, have a bacon drippings container? It was normal when I grew up.
-
I'll come if it's hot weather, on a lake or river with a range nearby and totally naked dancing girls and in a camping situation with a beer & liquor store close by.
Well, I might compromise on the totally naked and dancing part. Potentially naked would be acceptable.

I like anything that has to do with science. Nova could be enlivened, but it's still good. Nature has its moments too.
NCIS is pretty good. Probably my favorite network show.
Unlike the majority, I think The Unit sucks big time. Hokey as hell. Hated it from the first show. But I still tune in the first few minutes occasionally to see if it has improved. So far it hasn't. Badly acted soap opera with guns.
Big Bang Theory is great and reminds me of a lot of the folks I work with.
24 is ridiculous to the point of not being entertaining. I like to stretch reality, not ignore it. Again, too much of a soap opera.
I love baseball and football, except playoffs. I won't watch money building playoffs.

If you just gotta have volleyball, it might as well be woman's beach volleyball.
Well....maybe I did enjoy that just a bit........

You are wise grasshopper.

naw just eat it raw
Believe it or not, I actually found a site that talked about that. You need to freeze it for 14 days to kill off the squiggly things in it.... I guess if I can handle raw oysters and still squiggling grubs in survival training.... YUM!!!
I'm going to cook it (and onions) in bacon drippings in a cast iron skillet. A little flour and seasonings on it and down the hatch.
A little of the reheated squash casserole and iced tea (or iced something....) and I'm done.
Bon Appetit.

You know, the carnage at this event could prove the anti-gunners right.
-
Turns out I'm not the only one who likes the porch in yucky weather.
Wonder if he would like a cigar?
-
eat it ? good stuff
Do I need to cook it?
-
Shrinkage? It can get smaller?
-
Didn't we talk about this when we first got started?
Seems like some folks wanted cooler weather and some of us preferred summer heat.
-
Hey, I could go for that...except that I'd want to be naked.
-
No thunderstorms yet, but it looks good for them. Lots of rain, with a few good gusts to this point. Enough mood for a cigar and mixed drink so far. With a few more drinks, I can do without the rain.
What was for supper?

I get to buy in sensible stores - in Virginia.
Haven't bought overpriced wine in Tennessee in quite some time.
Yes, I figured it was basically swill, but would probably do for a pot roast, cooked all day. Don't need great stuff to flavor a roast. Right?
