  1. I've already bought two pocket holsters for my LCP, a Uncle Mike's #3 I think and a Galco leather. The leather Galco will not stretch at all after days of trying to stretch it wrapped in plastic wrap. Both holsters continue to stay on the LCP when drawn, so...

Did a little experiment. I like the Uncle Mike's so I went out and bought some sticky Velcro, cut it to length to wrap the entire center portion of the pocket holster, and super glued it on.

LCP come out each and every time without the holster. The Alabama holster Hickock45 uses looks like it works but, I'm not spending another dime for an occasional pocket carry holster. I already have more holsters than the wife has shoes and purse's

If you are going to use the Uncle Mikes get the size made for the .22-.25, it is the one shaped like a boot.
  2. I want the Broncos to win but that passing game of theirs is matched by the Seahawks passing defense. Seattle has hardly any TOs, Denver has a lot, and Seattle capitalizes better than anyone on TOs. Seattle actually has an amazing rushing game and Denver, it is anyone's guess on what they will do. I think the score will be relatively low, if Seattle wins it will be solely on points scored by their defense.

For Seattle to win they must shut down Peyton, for their defense only has to play like they have played in the 15 games they have won this season.
  3. Thanks everyone, it belongs to a guy in my unit and after talking with him more I think it isn't for me. It would actually be for instances where my Glock 19 was too large for carry but to also double as a home defense gun for my girl. He brought up some of the same points as Patton. He even made mention off the fact of her usafely cocking the hammer, attempting to, or unsafely riding the hammer down. It was also his opinion that a pure stainless steel 640 revolver is the route to go with the weight helping recoil and 15 ozcompared to 20 is not a lot when carrying.
  4. I was holding out for a M&P Shield but I have been thinking about a small revolver instead. I found a slightly used 638 bodyguard for a good price. The reason I am going this way is I need a gun to leave with my girlfriend while I am away on drills or away with work. A small, light revolver makes more sense.

Anybody have experience with airweights and small 5 shot revolvers?
  5. As I understand it, TSA 'officers" have no arrest authority - - - regardless of their fake mall-cop badges.

Local airport police are the ones who make the arrest.

Don't think too far into the no arrest authority, they and any other government employee or guard can make a detention and turn you over to the police. Very similar to a loss prevention officer at Walmart throwing cuffs on you and handing you over to the police.
  6. Well, I just thought about something. I used some of my Mil Pro 7 to lubricate the locks on my truck box. I went out one morning to get in the box and it had frozen, I couldn't beat the key in and a match wouldn't thaw the lock. I guess it is possible that a gun gets so cold the oil freezes. It probably would never get cold enough being under your clothing and against your body to happen.
  7. I actually wonder is anyone at Glock even shot a Shield previous to designing a g42 in 380? The Shield, even in 40, is a very mild shooting gun. The G42 better recoil like a 22 to be worth it in my opinion.
  8. The XD45C is what you want. In fact it even comes in a tactical version. A 5" barrel with a 4.5" grip. A compact M&P 45 is also very close to your asking. I remember hearing that a subcompact Sig 250 will take a 4.75" barrel and slide.
    Also, they make a 4" Ruger Sp101 in 357
  9. They are all very close, but you pretty much listed them in quality by order, "Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, KKM barrels". The only one I have ever owned was a Lone Wolf in 357 sig. It worked fine, I was foolish for trading it for 300 rounds of 40. I have heard a few reports of the KKM having to go back because even the drop in barrels were too tight, especially in the chambers. Of course there are reports of LW having issues but it is mostly involving weak 115gr 9mm ammo. Believe it or not but KKM may have the worst customer service of them all. I would not hesitate to buy a LW all over again.
  10. i saw yesterday a four remington umc 250 meg packs for $90.00 in walmart in chattanooga on gunnbarrel road.   don't know it that is a good price or not.  i reload 9mm and have not bought any for many mango seasons from a store.  they also had several of the $495.00 ammo can of 223 ammo for sale.

For the 9mm? Normally the 40 is $90 and the 9mm is $70 at Walmarts.
