Acouple of Free2Play's out right now would be Hawken and Warframe beta.   Also APB reloaded isn't bad.   You can find those using steam.
  3. Thats nice, did you make it yourself?

Very nice. I never find deals like this...
  5. I intended to wait a month or so until I had done some more reading on AR-15 builds before trying to build one, but since the 'recent events' and the pandemonium that has followed. I feel rushed to get it done before a possible ban.   I have already put a down payment on a Vltor lower receiver assembly. It should arrive sometime tommorrow or next week.   Now I need a complete upper assembly. The problem is they are flying off shelves at the moment and most sites I visit have none in stock anymore.   So here's my questions; Can I wait on the upper assembly, or do I need to buy whatever  I can find now? There are so many companies making AR-15 parts.  What are some reliable, yet not too expensive brands I should look at?
  6. Its ok, I actually agree with you. I have a friend who knows alittle about guns, but he probably won't be able to come with me to the show.
  7. Hello everyone, There is a gun show here in Memphis on the 22nd, I plan on going and I'd like to get some info on "what to look out for, and what to expect". If you missed my introduction, I'm a 30 year old Memphian who is interested in purchasing my first pistol, and maybe a rifle/shotgun if I can squeeze the two into my budget. I've been reading around for the last month or so, trying to get a idea of what I want, but I'm still not very knowledgeable when it comes to firearms. I have afew simple questions about the workings of a gun show and how the process works. Does the standard waiting period apply to a gun sale at a gun show? If so how do I retreive my gun from what I assume is a traveling group? When buying from a gun show, the guns are used, right? How does a gun being used effect its price? Is a gun show a safe place to purchase a firearm, or would it be a better idea to use one of the local shops? When buying a used gun, what kind of things can I look for to make sure I am buying a quality peice? What do I need to take with me? Is TN id enough?
  8. Tagging along for this one, also we have a gun show coming up on the 22nd at the Agricenter. Wait do you mean a retailer (of guns) who is safe, or a gun-safe retailer?
  9. Hello everyone, My name is Jason, I'm 30 and I'm from Memphis. I service and maintain saltwater aquariums to keep me busy. With the leftover time I take my dogs to the lake in Shelby Farms or have lazy days playing pc games. I joined the community to ask lots of questions before I make my first gun purchase. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to firearms, I've only shot 3 guns in my lifetime (SKS, a 12g shotgun and a 1911 Colt .45). My main reason for getting a gun would main be home defense/zombie apocalypse (did I choose the right forum or what?!). Anyways back to my research, currently reading up on AR15 builds. Once I get a general understanding, I'll start asking for some suggestions!
