Just looking for something similar to the 9mm compacts in feel fit and recoil. I would carry one of the 9mm So based on that a full size would be fine. If a 1911would work which manufacturer for under $1000.00

Let me explain a little more. I shoot m&p 9 compact, ruger sr9 compact, cz 75 p07 duty, sig p938 all 9mm I don't have a problem handling these. What I am asking is a 45 with similar size, action and recoil.

I haven't shoot a 45 in about 35 years. I would like some recommendations for someone that has old, weak, small hands. Please help

Thanks guys yes it is a noise issue. I only have about 50% hearing left because of playing music in the 70's and early 80's so I can't afford any additional lose. Those with hearing lose understand the word we all say a lot "WHAT" ;)

Guess I'm just old school. Indoor range are for handguns, outdoor range rifle, shotgun, or handgun I'll give them a try. Any problem with earmuffs rated with a nrr of 30 indoors with shotgun or high power rifle shots?

Help me feel comfortable going to a local indoor gun range that allows any type of rifle and shotgun be used in their indoor range. The reason I am asking is this range is only a mile from my house vs another range that doesn't allow this is about 10 miles away
