    Opinions on FNP 45

I'm just trying to figure out why it would shoot low, left? I picked up the 1911 and put a nice group dead center and held it the same as the Glock. I've ran about 150 rounds through it with the same results. It shot a nice group, just not where I'm aiming. I need a .45 that shoots like my Mark III 5.5" bull barrel..

    Opinions on FNP 45

Didn't get to do my deal on the Glock today because of work but suppose to hook up with the guy tomorrow. Just hoping the FNP is still there because I'm going to buy it. I don't know what's up with the G21 but I can't hit the broadside of a barn with it. I'm shooting low and left and the only thing I can come up with is it's too big for my hands. The FNP fits like a glove and I'm pretty sure the problem will be solved. I put a nice group in with my cuz's 1911 and should consider one but I like having 15 in the mag of the FNP. I really appreciate all your advice and reviews of the FNP, I'm sold.

    Opinions on FNP 45

Thanks for the links, very helpful information.
  4. Regardless, I'm done with them. I've not really bought much from them in the past so no big loss. As far as online, I buy from Bud's and CDNN more than any.   I did find ammo this morning from a local dealer so I'm happy. I bought Federal Champion ( my personal favorite ) .22, 525 round bulk boxes for $25 a box. He let me have 4 boxes so I'm set for a while.
  5. Glad you made it, Cuz and thanks for a great day shooting yesterday.

    Opinions on FNP 45

I'm liking what I'm hearing. What about price, what do you think? I'm looking at it this way, I'm buying the FNP for about $30 more than I get for my Glock 21 so it has to be a good deal.
  7. After ordering a Glock 21 from CDNN and hating it, I'm looking at the FNP 45 at a LGS here in Morristown. I love the way the FNP feels in my hands compared to the Glock 21. The Glock just feels too big and bulky and I wished I would have shot one before buying it. Good news is I have it sold for a little more than I paid for it and four 13 round mags. Not much, but a little more. My other question is the gun shop is asking $670 for the FNP 45, sounds little high but I've seen a few bringing that and it comes with one 15 round mag and two 14 round mags plus factory case and it's in great condition. I would like to hear from some people that have or have owned the FNP and what you like and dislike about it. I shot my cousins SIG 1911 Scorpion today and if I had the extra money, that would be the gun I would buy. Love the 1911's but if I can only have one .45, I want a double stack mag gun and most of the quality 1911's are out of my price range. I would be looking at $300 - $400 more for a Sig or Kimber 1911. Looking at the group I had today with the Sig 1911, I wouldn't really need a double stack mag.
  8. I guess my question to them would be, is Cheaper than Dirt having to pay more for ammo? If so, then that would mean the ammo companies are charging more. My guess is they are watching the market and charging the going rate instead of prices being adjusted on their actual cost.    I guess I'm just ticked off that you have to pay outrageous prices for something like .22 ammo. I went out today and shot my Mark III and used some Federal Champion that I paid $18.99 a box, 2 months ago and that was for 525 rounds. Now I can't find it local and if I buy it online, I will have to pay $60 a box for it. That's crazy!!!  For the record, I won't pay those prices.
  9. I just got a new Cheaper Than Dirt catalog in the mail and there's no prices on the ammo listed. I'm guessing this is so they can adjust their prices up to make more money? I think I will give them a call and have them take me off their mailing list if this is the way they're going to do business. All we need is price gouging by companies that are suppose to be competitive on pricing. I'm all about capitalism but this is about kicking the working man while he's down. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way but I don't agree with the way people are taking advantage of the current situation to make their bottom line look better. They're no better than the oil companies IMHO.
  10. I was in Asheville, NC this weekend and I guess I was hoping a liberal town like Asheville would have ammo........wrong! I stopped at Wally World and except for shotgun ammo, they had several boxes of 7mm. The shelves were empty, no .22, nothing that most people would need or want. I asked the guy if he had any Ruger 10/22 rifles and he just laughed. He said he was told it could be mid summer before they have any 10/22's again.
  11. I bought two boxes of Federal Champion a couple months ago from Gander Mtn for $18.99 for the 525 round bulk box. I just wished I had bought a case since you can't find it now. I have more .45 ammo than I do .22 and that's sad. I saw on gunbroker that the same ammo I bought for $18.99 is now selling for $40 - $50 a box. I'll be glad when this stuff settles back down
  12. Hello everyone. I'm a life long resident of Morristown and Hamblen County, over on the east side of the state. I've been shooting and hunting since I was a kid. I don't hunt as much as I use to but still duck hunt some and started turkey hunting a couple years ago. I also love to shoot but mostly shoot .22's since ammo is so expensive right now.I'm a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and the NWTF.
