  1. Shipped off the trigger to Brimstone today, I will let you know how the trigger works when I get it back. I appreciate the advice and help...............10ga
  2. I checked out the web page and the Brimstone sounds like a better route to take. My gun is just a plinker so for $44.50 with shipping, how could I go wrong? Heck, the hammer I was going to buy would about cost that much. Thanks!!
  3. I really appreciate it, everyone. I think I'm just going to order me a Volquartsen hammer, sounds like what I need and for the price, can't beat it.
  4. Anyone here ever done a 10/22 trigger job? I bought another bull barrel 10/22 yesterday from a local guy and the trigger feels like it's 10lbs or more. I took it apart yesterday and gave it a good cleaning but didn't help. I don't want to spend the money for a match trigger and if I could take 5 or 6 lbs off this one, I think I would be happy with it. I know there's several vids on youtube but I'm worried I'll mess it up. I guess worst case, I have to buy a new hammer and sear if I take too much off. Just curious if anyone has done one and if you have a good link for instructions.   Thanks
  5. Grabbed a couple myself for that price. The last ones I bought from CDNN were $24.95 and I thought that was a deal that I wouldn't see in a while. I sold my 10/22 Target rifle last week and included the mags but me being me, I bought another bull barrel 10/22 yesterday so had to grab some more BX-25's. Midway also has a deal on the Tact Solutions extended mag release.
  6. Shipping has been a little slow on these PMags but I'm guessing because they've sold so many. I just checked and they're in Nashville and suppose to be here tomorrow. I made my first order from Midway USA yesterday, heard lots of good stuff about them. They have a killer deal on BX-25 mags for my 10/22, $19.95 each. Also bought a Tact Solutions extended mag release and an extended bolt handle. While I was ordering, went on and grabbed a couple Wilson Combat 47D's for my 1911. I had a promo code and had to spend a little more to save $10 so I figured the WC mags would be a good pick......hahaha
  7. After CTD started gouging last year I took them time to call them and let them know I wanted to be taken off their mailing list and the reason why. I know whoever I was talking to could give a crap less but it made me feel better. I may be wrong but I'm sure they lost a lot of customers over the last year because of their antics.    Here's a perfect example...... http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-0520   Am I missing something? 325 rounds for $119.19? Honestly I hope I'm missing something because gougers don't even charge these kind of prices.    I'm surely missing something, this must be for a case.
  8. I've bought a few things from KGC including a Ruger 22/45 pistol and had great customer service both times. My favorite online company to do business with is CDNN. I've bought guns, mags, and several accessories from CDNN and have always been happy. I bought a trade in Glock 21 from them last year and it was here in 2 days and was exactly as described. Sorry about your experience with KGC, I'm hoping I don't regret buying from them again.
  9. Thought I would let you guys know that Ky Gun Company has PMags on sale for $10.49. Gen 2 with window in black. I don't keep up with prices like I use to but this seemed like a pretty good deal so I picked up 10 the other day. I just checked and says they still have them in stock. Shipping on 10 was $16 so with everything total, about $12 per mag.   http://www.kygunco.com/magpul-pmag-moe-30rnd-wwindow-gen2-black-64008
  10. I'm trying to figure out why people are still paying inflated prices, do they really need it. Not to mention people that hang out at Walmart everyday and buy the max they can buy. I have't bought any .22 ammo in 8 or 9 months and still have plenty left. I figured things would be settled back down by now but looks like it's just as bad and no relief in sight. My .45 supply is started running a little low so I've just stopped shooting it for now. I think I paid $13 for 50 rounds last time I bought .45 ACP and I'm guessing it's high as a cat's back now. I called wally world today and asked if they had any .45 and they guy said all he had was .223 for $19 for 20 rounds.............really? Looks like wally world is now in the gouging game.
  11. I thought I would give a quick review of the Inforce APL pistol light. I was looking at the Streallight TLR-1 and came across the Inforce. This is a great little light for about the same price as the TLR-1. The TLR is rated at 110 lumens and the Inforce is rated at 200 lumens. You can change the battery out with the light still on the gun and it takes 1 x 123A Lithium battery. I took it out tonight and this thing is crazy bright. Also like the way it looks on the gun. Here's a link to their website and they also make several models for AR's. http://www.inforce-mil.com/ I don't normally give reviews on products but I was so impressed with this little light, I had to let everyone know. 12. I got this one yesterday at my LGS and probably paid too much for it but I've been wanting one for a long time and couldn't find one. It had only been shot a couple times and I paid $400 for it. The scope is one I pulled off an AR till I buy one. Looking at the Vortex Crossfire 4-12x40. 13. No two walmarts are the same. I was there last week and they were selling 3 of the 100 round boxes of 12ga to each person with one tax stamp. Tonight I was there and the guy was pulling them out of the box and stamping each box but he still let the guy buy 3 100 round boxes. Here's an even better one, the guy who normally works the counter was gone on break and he comes out and ask the guy who took his place if he had sold any ammo and the guy said he had sold 20 or more boxes. He asked if he had put stamps on the boxes, answer from the guy taking his place, " what stamps?".Even better, guy walks up and wants to buy a 12ga, answer from the guy who runs the counter, " we lost the key to the case and can't sell any ammo or guns that are locked up. Seriously????? I normally stay as far away from walmart as possible but I saw on the website they had some Tula .223  in stock. No one could find it and said the website was wrong. Finally a manager walks up and overhears me telling them it showed "in stock". He asked me to give him a minute to go look and he walks out with a 500 round can. How does walmart make any money?
  14. I thought it was a pretty good price considering no one has them and when you do find them, they're $75-$100. Ruger store is $31.95 each and from what I hear, it takes forever to get them.   Talking about a rip, CTD selling Tula 500 round cans of .223 for $380.........that's armslist prices. I'll never order from CTD again.
  15. Walmart in Greeneville had .45 ACP when I was there around 11:00 today. I bought 2 boxes but they still had about 10 boxes left.
  16. CDNN had 40 BX-25 magazines left at 1:40 today for $39.99 and also have some BX25X2 for $69.99. Guy said they started with 600 this morning.   http://www.cdnninvestments.com/specials.html
  17. I got my first AR last week, DPMS Sportical. I haven't really shot many but I honestly love this thing. Put a set of flip-ups on it till I figure out what optic to get and it shoots great. I shoot .22's 90% of the time so it probably won't get that much use. From what I've read, it's probably the cheapest and not what most AR enthusiast would want but it was in my budget and will probably do me for a while.
  18. My cousin went to Walmart in Jefferson City and they had several cases of .22 and several 500 round cans of Tula .223. He was there at 6:30 and said it was just him and one other guy. I just checked the website and it says out of stock.
  19. I did something I never do and waited around tonight for 2.5 hours for them to get the truck unloaded just for .22 ammo. I got one box of Winchester M22 ( 1000 rounds ) and 2 boxes of 555 round Winchester. I hate Walmart but I was running low on .22 so I guess it was worth the wait. When I got there it was just me and by the time they brought it out, there were 15 people in line and the 6 cases was gone within 15 minutes of being brought out.
  20. I've got a Mark 4 No. 1 and it has 'OTK' in white letters on the stock, anyone have an idea of what that is? I was guessing it was some kind of inventory mark. I bought this rifle 25 years ago and gave $25 for it. I remember when they had these and other old military rifles at a local discount store for $50 or less. They had them displayed in a big garbage can packed full. Sorry about the Armslist pic, it's the only one I could find. Was going to sell it but changed my mind. This thing shoots too good to sell. Here's a pic

    handgun addict

For years I was a shotgun guy and could care less about pistols or rifles. At the time I was a duck hunter and never could get into pistols but now that I'm a little older, I don't duck hunt like I use to and really enjoy my pistols. I bought a Ruger P95 about 10 years ago and mostly had it around for a house gun and then when I got to shooting pistols, I realized I hated the P95. I sold it and bought a Glock 21, no reason, just figured you couldn't go wrong with a Glock. After shooting the Glock a few times, I figured out it wasn't the gun for me. I sold the Glock and bought a Sig 1911 and I love it. Forgot to mention that I bought a Ruger Mark III 22/45 back in the summer and have always been deadly accurate with it, guess I should have known then that I was a 1911 guy. My point is, just because some people love a gun, doesn't mean it's the best gun for everyone else. You have to get out and shoot them and see what fits and what you like. As long as you're not loosing money, who cares how many you go through till you find the one you like. My problem is now I want more and more, having one or two isn't enough. Now I'm getting into .22 rifles and can't wait to buy or build me a 10/22 target rifle. I have a Remington 597 but after shooting a friends 10/22, I got to have one. I try to keep all the guns I can but if I know it's not a gun I'm going to shoot, I sell it so I can get something new. Good thing about guns, I've never lost money on one. Even my old P95, I got $50 more than what I paid for it 10 years ago new. The other thing I always keep in mind when buying guns, I buy good quality guns, there's always a market for them if I want to sell. Example ~ My father in-law bought a Colt Phython .357 in 1980 and paid $300 for it, today it's worth about $1800. Guns are a good investment, that's what I tell my wife ;)
  22. Even trade, I would go with the FNP 45 all day long.
  23. Well, I messed around and they're all gone. Ruger 10/22 Target Tactical for $480, seemed like a good deal. One of these days I'll get me one. Maybe someone can tell me, I've looked into buying a stock 10/22 and adding the Hogue stock, 16" bull barrel, and bi-pod and I don't think I can do it for that price. Anyone think I can do better by building my own? At $480 and then adding a decent scope, should be in around $600 - $650. I've been watching these guys on youtube hitting targets at 400 yards with the same gun. I went out shooting with my Ruger Mark III 5.5" bull barrel today and was hitting a 6" target at 100 yards and then I see some dude on youtube hitting at 200 yards with factory open sites. I need to shoot more Love this gun
  24. Sounds like good folks to do business with. Thanks for your help!!
  25. I spotted a Ruger 10/22 Target Tactical on J&G Sale but I have never dealt with them. It priced reasonable but I'm always hesitate about dealing with online companies that I've never heard of. Thank for any opinions.
