Here is a list of some of the parts going on the rifle, Timney trigger at 2.5 lbs, bell and carlson tan and black spider web stock, talley one piece rings and a 5x20LR Huskemaw scope with custom dial turrets.  Pretty excited about this one. 

Well, I finally got the call today, went and picked up my new 300WM.  pictures will follow this rifle, it should turn out very nice.  I plan on eventually replacing the barrel and having the action squared, but I am well spent right now! lol  

I understand and expected shipping to take a little longer than I am used to, due to the current market. The fact that I called(and waited 30-40 minutes) to verify that it was in stock and would ship in 3-7 days, while the salesmen knew they were backed up 10-20 is what makes me upset.  The manager said he would put my rifle a head of the others to ship, but it still has not shipped out.  I am glad to hear that others have had good experiences with them. 

This is my rant about my experience with Buds Guns, so far, not impressed.  I have been looking for a remington 700 300wm SS, after a few weeks of shopping around and looking on Gunbroker, I decided to give Buds Guns my business and see how they did.  Well, I called on the 2nd of January to make sure they had it in stock, "yes, it is in stock and should ship in 3-7 days"  I went ahead and made an account and purchased the rifle a few minutes after talking on the phone with them.  Well, 10 business days of not getting any emails or updates, I called.  After being on hold for 40 minutes( I do know with the gun craze that they are very busy) I finally got a hold of someone "well, we are busy and your rifle may ship in 20 business days, we had to get it from another supplier."  What!!??  When I called them the first time, it was in stock and should ship in "3-7" days.  I wait on the phone for another 35 minutes to talk to a manager, He said they are backed up 10-20 days and have been since the election in November.  Why on earth didn't the first person on the phone tell me that? I could have bought a rifle from another person on gunbroker for $10 more and had it a few days after the auction ended.  I know things are busy with the gun craze that is going on right now, but I didn't appreciate the lack of honesty(this is the short version of the details) from their sales reps.  Anyone else have good/bad experiences with Buds Guns?  My Rifle still has not shipped out and it has been 13 business days  

Well, guys, I have been wanting an ar10 for a long time now, I have the ar15s covered and stocked but wanted to get an ar10.  Everyone is aware of the hype that is going on now, and I am wishing that I already had one in the safe.  I am willing to pay for one now even though it will cost me a premium, I am willing to take the gamble that they may go down if they do not pass any sort of a ban, but if they do pass something, it will go up in value.  I wanted to get some input on what type to get, I have a rock river 458 and love the quality and Thought I would consider them first for a 308.  I like the predator line, it has a SS barrel but is only an HBAR and not a heavy barrel.  I am not wanting a heavy barrel as they are 10.5lbs for a 20inch where the predator is only 8.5 lbs.  I like the fact that RR takes FAL mags metric or standard and RR mags.  Are you able to swap RR uppers to other brand uppers, or do only RR uppers fit on RR lowers?  Are there other brands ar10s I should be considering??

well, guys, I just built my first ar15 pistol, so far it is awesome! ton of fun to shoot and play with, but I would love to have a pad on the buffer tube so it is easier on my cheek. does anybody know where I can get one, or have any ideas? thanks

There were deer all over the place saturday, took home 2 nice does. 1 at 30 yards and the other a left handed shot at 20 yards. The deer at 30 yards was a deer I missed tuesday with my bow, cut a chunk of hair off of her belly with an arrow, but she wasn't so lucky yesterday. I did find something out, they must have started making semiauto muzzle loaders, that or someone in the woods can reload in just under 2 seconds

I am buying a free floating hand guard for my ar-15, Is there someone in the hendersonville/madison area that has one I could borrow or use for 15 minutes? lol I should probably buy one but with hunting season being here, I don't want to spend more than I have to right now. I would be glad to donate some ammo for the use of the wrench. Thanks

Hey guys, I am looking for a good chart for deer activity. I found one last year that I really liked but I can't find it now. It showed moon phases, feeding times and gave a rating of deer activity or your chances of seeing deer. Does anyone have one they use that they could point me towards? thanks

what would it take money wise to get some soft of night vision to go with it? is that even possible?

I am not sure the different models, what is the difference between the 512 or 517? is there an upgraded one I should get over the 512?

guys, I am thinking about buying a 512 eotech for an ar15 build I am doing. other than a cheap red dot or a decent bushnell I had, I have no experience with them. before I spend the money on one(midway has them for 415 with free shipping) are they worth it? I have read a lot of good reviews, but wanted to ask my fellow members on TGO before I spent money. thanks guys.

Well, I just got back from colorado, we had a wonderful time. I was never able to see any elk, but I did see 2 huge mule deer, 5x5 or better. I also got to watch a spike chase around some does on the side of a mountain. It was pretty neat! I will say this, it is much harder to breath out there at 6,000ft! even worse at pikes peak, 14,100 ft is real hard to breath! lol

I got a parker with a lifetime warranty, and I am loving it right now! I am going to take my 5 year old deer hunting with me this year, we are both very excited to say the least.

Well, the wife and I are going to Colorado this weekend, this will be my first time to be out west(past Texas), I am heart broken I will not be going hunting, we are going for a wedding. I Will have a day to kill before the wedding and I would love to be able to see some elk or wildlife, if I can't shoot it, might as well try to see an elk in real life. Does anyone have any recommendations where to go, or something fun the wife and I could do while we are there? we will be there friday-monday morning. maybe an outfitter to check out for a future elk hunt?

I found one on sale from midway for 420 plus 11 shipping. It is a horton bone crusher. 320fps, not bad looking at all for an entry level bow or a few steps above entry level. Not in the position to spend 800 on one right now. lol maybe one day, but not right now.

Guys, I'm looking at buying a crossbow to do some deer hunting. I'm still going to keep my compound bow, just wanting to add another one to the list of eqt to use. I'm not wanting to spend 700 on a set up, I found a horton cb609 on ebay for 260 plus 15 shipping, which doesn't seem bad at all, just don't want to buy junk. anybody use a good entry level crossbow? any advice would be great. I was thinking about going to bass pro and looking around, but wanting some knowledge before I did.

Does anyone in the hendersonville area have a scope lapping tool? I would like to lap in my new talley 1 piece rings before I install my new Zeiss scope. Let me know if you do and I can donate some ammo to you! lol
