    Cash=anonymity=freedom.

Even if the government eliminated cash people would develop some sort of alternative hard-currency or just use straight barter.  The ability to use cash or hard-currency to hide purchases from the prying eyes of the government is a feature, not a bug.

"Why do you need to circumvent the system if you have nothing to hide?" -a statist, probably

  2. Any ancillary equipment needing to be brought? Such as Dremels with cutters, sanding stones and wheels; files; sandpaper; shake cans or anodizing setups? Figure if everyone interested actually buys a kit and shows up - setting up multiple stations for a true garage-factory assembly line would slightly speed up the 3-4 hours per gun after we get down bending, welding, sanding, filing, demilling, drilling and test fitting all the pieces.

And for tribute for using your tools - cash or beer okay? Feels odd to come into someone else's house I've never met and get down with a HK only to not pitch in my fair share.

GJ and I are working on getting tooling together, GJ pulling most of the weight at the moment. Dremels and consumables are definitely good to bring if you have them.

We'll probably not do any painting or anodizing. Too many options out there, it'll be best for people to rattlecan, cerakote, parkerize, or anodize as they wish afterwards.

We've been mostly tossing out ideas, but figured it might be a good thing to chip whoever hosts it some cash for the trouble.

  3. Furthering my points from earlier. This could pretty well turn into a crash welding, bending, demilling, pressing, and pinning course. So it will at a minimum be educational.

It does need to be stressed that this won't be an easy or simple build like an AR. The flats have to be bent. If the flat isn't configured correcty you're out at least $130+. And time. If somehow you manage to screw up the barrel drilling and pinning it, you're out of $150-200+. And time.

Not trying to scare people off, but I do want to set some expectations in that direction. GJ and I won't build these for you but we will assist you on your build (assuming this all happens) as much as we can. Keep in mind we haven't built these before.

  4. Also, FWIW, if we do this we will come up with a timeline by September/October, hopefully doing the build-party by end of year or early 2017.

Keep in mind if/when we do this, we're talking building a pistol in the ball park of $1400.

No SBRs at the proposed build-party. No NFA builds. You can file your NFA stuff and convert these into SBRs at your own convenience afterwards.

GJ and I are not certified gunsmiths. We are not HK armorers. We cannot guarantee that what you build will be functional or safe.

Anytime you build a firearm you assume all risks. GJ and I expect members here to have that kind or responsible mindset.

    These are weapons, not toys.

I hope to see this come together. TGO is a great community.

  5. I stole one off an upper I wasn't using. I still have to fix that one.

Costs a bit more but Strike Industries makes a quick-connect dust cover. All parts are self contained. Also the lightest dust cover on the market if you're one of the gram-counting weirdos.

I like simple!  That veriforce is exactly what I'm looking for.

    Thanks,

Just don't expect the finish to match your upper. It's something that doesn't bother me, but the shade of black they use doesn't match any upper I have. Some people might get tiffed by this.

  7. Privacy is antiquated thinking in the information age don't you know? People called me tinfoil over the NSA nonsense until Snowden. Then everyone acted as if they knew all along. The same with collecting and selling information collected on the internet.

This service is really the result of a willingness to use "free" services, especially search engines. Google Analytics runs on most browsers and actively collects browsing data every time you search a url or click a new link depending on your browser settings. They collect information. Information is money. Targeted advertising is money. SEO is money. Many have been talking about this kind of stuff on alternative media for years. It's labelled as conspiracy BS until mainstream source runs a dumbed down version. Nothing new here. Maintsream is always months or years behind alternative sources.

Now when the reptilian overlords reveal themselves all at once to strike fear in the hearts of the masses for a greater power grip over the proles, I hope I don't hear these same people claim they knew it all along.

  8. "We've always been at war with Eastasia"

"We've always been at war with Eurasia"

"We've always been at war with Poverty"

"We've always been at war with Drugs"

"We've always been at war with Terror"

Anything to keep people busy I guess.

  9. Made my decision long ago.
Religions were invented by superstitious men thousands of years ago.
Is there some kind of intelligence involved in all that exists? Yes, there's got to be or nothing would exist.
What is the meaning of the universe and all that exists? I have no freaking idea.
