  1. lol, never got a speeding ticket out there, but within the passed two years I got one for 31 over, and another written for "17" over after being told by the officer I was going 14 over (which I admit I was going about 15 over).

Didn't have to appear in court for either, but I did pay out the ass for them and classes.

Maybe he was just flexing his power.

Best thing you can do is if you remember the weather conditions, if you were with anyone else (and if that person was male/female, child or adult, etc) and what you were wearing at the time of the stop when you show up in court. Write them down. Ask these things if you have an opporunity before admitting guilt. Any other details you can remember that might call into question the officers judgment should written down and asked in court.  If the judge sees that the officer can't remember simple details from the traffic stop, the judge "MAY" be more lenient on you, and possibly even dismiss it.

If you are able to demonstate that the officer can't recall simple details of the traffic stop, how can the judge be sure that they know how fast you were going over exactly, other than they made a note of it.

This isn't legal advice. Just suggestions.

  2. It's a Daily KOS article so...

What's funny is people like that get all up in arms about rights violations but have no issue with violating someone else's.  So long as it's not something they care about.

    Post-structuralism:

"I identify as starkin and your cis-ness oppresses me!"

"I have a right not to get shot!"

    "Property is a social-construct."

"You're transphobic is you prefer cis female/male partners."

  3. I don't think it's a bad idea at all. But in running the risk that some of the unprepared may be willing to risk everything to get what they want by force, you need to know whether the risk vs. reward is worth it to you. If there really are that many people who value life so little, it may be of use to you to accept valuing their life just as little.

  4. Love me some STP. They and AIC were definitely two of my favorite bands of their era. Even now if one of their songs comes on I will not change the station. Too bad he couldn't get that monkey off his back.

I don't care what anyone says, AIC isn't the same band without Staley. Doubt STP will be the same if they try and replace Weiland.

  5. Some of you folks need to take a chill pill. This is how some road rage incidents get started. If you want to drive competitively, do it on a track.

And put the damn cell phones down!

    X over 9000!

  6. I'm amazed people don't get pulled over as is when they impede traffic. Wouldn't driving well below the speed limit in the passing lane not warrant attention? Likely they're distracted or being overly cautious for some reason.

Slowpoke law not needed IMO. Just more control for a problem that can be easily resolved.

  7. Objects only have a value of what people put on them, money, cars, guns, houses etc. so the same could be said about everything that exists.

I collect silver too, I also have about 10 Dogecoins which are worth an astounding $0.0001 or something right now. Diversify yo. Don't trust centralized monopoly money backed by promises of pretty nothings.

  8. Or maybe one day we will go back to Raidcoin.

After ISIS lets off a nuclear device on our soil that the CIA "lost"

Which is me kicking in the door of a social justice warrior with my guns and taking his stuff. Hence Raidcoin...

All fiat currency is an illusion that is transferred. The only stuff that retains value is bullets, toilet paper, water, tobacco, booze and cheap harlots.

Commodities retain value to the extent that they are scarce and in demand. All value is subjective. Raidcoin is for pirates.

  9. dogecoin lol

All of that stuff is just magic internet money.  I made a bit off of litecoin, won't say there's not an opportunity out there to make money off of other suckers thinking digital currency is actually valuable, but you have to understand that it's completely worthless before getting involved and be willing to risk losing all of your money if the exchange you use closes down out of the blue.

Digitial currency is magical internet money, so the dollar is magical physical money?

Try this, take your valuable dollars in to the bank, hand them to the teller and ask him/her "May I exchange these for what they are backed with?"

All fiat money is a joke, digital or otherwise.

  10. Speaking of skills, I have always had a lighter so the other day I grabbed some tinder and my fire starter to try my hand at starting a fire. It took a lot longer and was a lot harder than I thought, even under ideal conditions. I definitely need to practice more and maybe try a different method.

It's definately not as easy as the youtube videos.
