  1. Everything you post I read in Bert's voice. Makes it so comedical. Sorry.
  2. Stick with either A. the best selling truck for 30 something years. (they aren't there because of low price) B Go with another chevy or GMC. C is a dodge if you get the hemi. D. Toyota tundra E nissian titian.   Tundra does not have a boxed frame last time I checked which will give you this.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJZVUnOduH4  I know this is old but they have not changed enough for it to be out of date. Stick with the big three and you will be fine for a 1/2 ton. 3/4 or 1 ton go with chevy or ford.
  3. Would your same argument also make it illogical for them to be super slow? SO really they will be like animals with rabies.
  4. What are we going to do if the zombies are not slow and ignorant? What if the zombies are like Olympic athletes that can run faster, jump higher, bob sled better, and lift more than us?  How would our zombie fighting tactics change?
  5. I bet you know the one I am talking about then.
  6. Scaplers are having a hard time cleaning out Academy, Gander, and Bass pro in just 1-2 days now. They have put 1 box limits up and I am able to get ammo fairly consistently now with them. You just have to go on ammo shipment days. Wal mart's 3 box for 3 calibers is why they stay cleaned out. 4 guys can go in a clear them out of all they get in since wal mart has been getting tiny shipments.
  7. I tried to haggle this down to a current market fair price. They would not budge more than $2. They do the samething with everything else in there. Everything they have is at the price of what it would be brand new, and they admit that. They will only come down off that price 2-5% and tell you, "well it is cheaper than it being new." I watched them buy a single shot H&R for $45 then turn around and stick it on the shelf with a $190 price tag. Told them I would give them $100 out the door since it was in very good shape that way they could double their money minus tax and tic. He told me the lowest he would go OTD was $180. I thought it was just that guy, turns out  the whole place is terrible.
  8. They did buy a bunch of .22lr.
  9. So I went to Global Loan and Pawn in Downtown Lenoir City, and in 5 min they had lost my business forever.   9mm was $35 for a box of 50 (target). .40sw was $30 for 50 (target). .45acp was $65 for 50 (target) .308 was $45 for 20 rounds 7.62x39 was $35 for 20 rounds .223 was $45 for 20 rounds. But I think the biggest kick in the pants was .22lr $29 for 50 rounds of bulk pack plinking ammo. Yes that is right $29. And the guy said, "price is negotiable by a couple dollars."   I will never shop there again. I know supply is hard to get, but that is just ridiculous.
  10. It was $.95 in 2000, back when my parents bought our first big gas guzzling v8 suv. I remember it being .97/gallon. And I was born in 1992, so it has been about 12 years.
  11.     I was there @ 5:30am stood in line for 2 hours for them to bring it out at 7:30am. I got the only box of .22lr they got in and the only pistol bulk packs they got. Rest was just some shotgun and some small boxes of .40sw Yes it was the LC wally. Usually is wiped, just got word they had some come in was up going to work thought I would stop in and check.
  12. My walmart has been getting ammo in pretty steady. Got a 1000 bulk pack of .22lr this morning and a 250 box of .40sw and a 250 box of 9mm. All at just a couple bucks more than what it was 6 months ago. So be vigilant. Ammo is coming back.
  13. Well when a brick of .22lr has gone from $20 to $75 in 2 months that is a pretty good indicator. People have a right to stand up for flat out price gouging, and people flooding the market with a false price increase. Those of us who have jobs don't have the luxury of sitting on the stores everyday to buy up all the ammo like these guys do. Evidently they are making enough in profit to live off of. While no it is not a corporate monopoly. Definition of monopoly- The exclusive possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or service. Hmm sounds like one to me. Fits the definition. So it is one.
  14. It is not a free market when there is people choking the supply to massively inflate the prices. Free trade is not happening. Instead a monopoly is occurring at that point. Which last time I checked we do not allow. :foot:
  15. Very good signs then. Just need to keep buying only what we need and this will continue to happen.
  16. They have a deal with LGS's in those states that they cut the deals to so they won't sell to us so we have to go to the LGS.
  17. I got 9mm for $17 for FMJ 50 rounds and $25 for 50 rounds of HP. Then in .40 was $23 for 50 fmj. I got a mini brick 325 rounds of .22lr federal match for $25. Still high in price, but is coming back slowly.
  18. Saying you are preparing for zombies is a nice way of saying that you are preparing for mass civil unrest. You are preparing to defend yourself, family, friends, and home from the hoards of unprepared people in the event of a SHTF situation. People who will be hungry, mad, and willing to do what ever to take your survival supplies. That is what the whole zombie thing is. A way to be politically correct about something you hope you never have to do.
  19. I do believe ammo is finally making a small comeback. I have had very little trouble the last couple weeks finding my calibers. They are not on the shelves sitting like it was 6 months ago, but my LGS's have told me that shipments are becoming more stable. I was able to get plenty of 9mm, .40sw, 45acp, and .22lr today at one of them. They had plenty in and hand lifted their ammo limits. Now the supply is getting stronger again, but prices are still high. Just wanted to remind you to stay vigilant, and stay away from the price gougers. I just wanted to see if any of you were seeing this to, or have I just been at the right places at the right time? Hope it is getting easier for all of you, stay strong and vigilant. It is getting better.
  20. Idk if I would carry on a motorcycle. The sheeple already have a dim view of motorcycles  riders, add a gun to that and they think you are there to pillage and kill.
  21. I am located in Lenoir City TN. I have a place that I have already chosen for an appropriate testing area. I was just wondering what I needed to train for with my hand gun to be able to pass the test, and then what would ensue afterward.
  22. http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/tennessee.pdf  Found this but don't know if it is trustable.
  23. I was wondering what all ensues with getting your hand gun carry permit. I know you have to take the carry class, but was wondering what happens in the class. And then what you have to do after you pass the class? I know the DMV is who gives you the actual card. But what happens between the class and that if anything? Thanks for the help. I know it is a dead horse for a lot of you, but you are helping bring new blood into the HCP scene.   EDIT:   Can you take you handgun carry permit class before you are 21, or do you have to wait? I would like to be able to roll into the DMV on my 21 bday and hand them this and for license renewal. And if I can, how long is the proof certificate good for?
