  1. Light crowd and weak dealer turnout. I managed to sell my my Glock 36 and got a NIB Glock 19gen4 for $505 otd.

I talked to you in line and right when we went in.. Glad that you found the G36 a new home. Congrats on the new 19.

I did find the TruGlo Fiber in yellow/green for my G27 and had them installed there. Nice meeting ya

  2. I have a bushnell tactical on one rifle and I like the Weaver tactical better. It is clear'er and tracts better IMO. The weaver is on my sps Tact. For $1,000 you can pick up a good used Leupold. Get the M1 knobs so you will have 1/4 clicks.

There is a US Optics ST10 on snipers hide right now for $999. For the money that would be the way that I would go. Kickass glass WTS or WTT US Optics ST10 $999 - Sniper's Hide Forums

Watch the hide and some good used scopes pop up on there... If you wan new then the others that you left out may be:

  3. Very nice :)Congrats!

I had a .308 garand years ago and traded it off like a dummy....

I thought that the bent op rod issues were becuase of "hotter" higher pressure loads... not so much the heaiver bullet but the combo of bullet, type/amount of powder, and case length. Get an adjustable gas plug and the issue goes away. Mr. Morris will know for sure.

I will look in my parts bin and see if I have a rest set of NM sights. I know that I have a "real" set on a garand and an extra NM apature or two.

  4. I am glad this question was asked. I also just purchased a Rem 700 SPS Tactical and have been looking at bipods. From everything I read Harris seems to be the way to go. Now all I need is an affordable optic. Thinking Bushnell Elite 3-9x40. Not looking to make shots past 500 yards. Any suggestions, not looking to hijack this thread though.

The 9 power will be fine... Take a look at the Bushnell 3200 10-power tactical scope. It can be found for under $200 and will be a good scope for 500 yards. Again the Super Sniper scopes are great for the money. SWFA SWFA SS Rifle Scopes SWFA SS Scopes

A good bipod review if you have not read it already Bipod reveiw, Rock, Versa Pod, Harris, GG&G - Sniper's Hide Forums

  5. Those Atlas pods look great. How heavy are they?

The BT10-V8 clamp on Atlas (10.9oz) is lighter than the Harris 6-9 S-BRM (130z). So about the same... by the time that you add a rail to the front...
