  1. Jeff,   Forks of the River in southern Knox County is known to have some pretty decent public fields. Check out the info on TWRA's website for more info on public fields, etc. It is about a 30 minute drive from Dandridge. Overall, the dove hunting hasn't been that great in JeffCo the fields I have been hunting the past few years. Looks like this year should be better though.    http://www.tn.gov/twra/dovemain.html
  2. I run a Vortex PST 2.5-10 FPP on my 5.56  spr build and love it. The glass isn't quite as nice as the two you mentioned, but you can't beat it for the price, about $800. I have it on a Larue QD mount and have also shot it out to 1050 yards on my bolt rifle with no problems. It has not been on the market too long, but has received good reviews everywhere I looked.  Lifetime warranty from vortex as well. I recommend at least considering it based on your stated purpose.    http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-viper-pst-2-5-10x32-ffp-riflescope-with-ebr-1-moa-reticle
  3. I will probably try to make it. Anybody sell steel targets at these things?
  4. I use a N82 for my pf9 edc. It is the professional model and I really like it. I also have a Galco Kingtuck (Crossbreed supertuck clone) and find the n82 to be much more comfortable.
  5. What these guys said.    I'm am a licensed attorney in Tennessee.  I can drafts wills, trusts, etc.  I looked into preparing my own NFA trust, but decided to pay another attorney to prepare it with expertise in drafting such trusts and dealing with the ATF, etc. Finding out your trust is invalid could reasonable end up costing you a felony conviction.
  6.   I have touched base with the folks at AIM and they are "hoping" to get some in later this year.  I'm likewise am hoping AIM gets them in because it would be easier for me to pick up as I travel to Cincinnati where they are located a few times a year.  I would have to make a special trip to Classic, but they are located close enough that it would not be unfeasable to drive there. (unfeasible or infeasible?)
  7.   Probably not going to happen until October - December. Plenty of time to convince her!
  8.   I am not offering legal advice. However, my understanding is that you area allowed to sell off firearms in order to enhance or expand your collection. Buying a crate of 20 and selling them off individually to make a profit would probably not be a good idea. Buying a crate, keeping the nicer, unusual, and/or hard to find Mosins and selling off the rest so you can buy more is perfectly fine. Buying a crate with one or two other C&R holders each paying a share for the guns they receive, completely ok.   Anyone with questions regarding C&R purchases should contact the ATF at their Nashville field division (615) 565-1400 or review the helpful FAQ on their website: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/curios-relics.html  .
  9. I am planning to purchase a crate of mosins later this year. The plan is to get one from AIM when they get them back in stock since I travel to Ohio several times a year and can pick it up.  I plan to purchase with C&R. I may hold on to all 20 or if there is interest from one or two other people in East Tennessee, I would be interested in keeping 10 and splitting the remaining 10 to a couple other people.   Other individuals would likewise need to have C&R.    [EDIT] Rifles are priced at $125 a piece out the door from ClassicArms at the moment. I suspect AIM will be similar when they get them back in stock.    Oh, and first post by the way.
