My wife had shot a S&W model 32 /22cal when we decided to get our carry permits. The problem was she had trouble pulling the trigger double action and knowing she was going to have to fire around 75 times to qualify and practice, she didn't think she could. I ended up purchasing a Bersa 22 auto and she had no trouble qualifing since double action was no longer a issue. After that finding a handgun she was comfortable to shoot and small enough to carry was next. She handled different ones and she finally chose the Kel-Tec p32, It's light, can carry in her purse and can rack the slide and shoot it confortably. It's best to let her decide because what you like may not suit her.

I just had a Pocket Holster made for my Guardian 32ACP and I'm really pleased with it's quality and fit. It conceals perfect in back jeans pocket or front with removable flap removed. Check out his site if your interested in a reasonably priced holster. Bulldog Leather Company - Home

Alarm Going off in Tractor Supply

I put the gun back in the vehicle to see if it was causing the alarm, seemed to be at the time? As far as guilty about something that doesn't deserve a response. -
Alarm Going off in Tractor Supply

Alright found out today whats happening, this was bothering me all day. Yesterday I went to get a special battery for a dog radio collar and took the old package it was in with me, to be sure it was the correct one. Last night I looked at the package and it had the magnetic tag on it. This morning I took it with me along with the handgun to Walmart to have a tire repaired. When I went through the scanner it went off, so I asked the guy behind the desk to demag it and it beeped like it was never scanned. Picked up 2 boxes of 9mm and left and it didn't go off. Heres the kicker, when I returned to pick up the tire it went off going out but hadn't went off going in. The guy scanned the battery tag again and somehow it was active again. I don't know why upon entering & leaving Home Depot it didn't go off after I had left the handgun in the vehicle yesterday. Murphys Law. If nothing else was learned it told me that these tags once they are scanned can somehow set off the alarms if taken in another store. -
Alarm Going off in Tractor Supply

The only change I made was leaving the Naa Guardian in the vehicle, shoes same and never removed the holster. -
I'm really not sure whats going on, but here's what happened. I went in TSC in Smyrna today and the alarm went off as I passed through the door scanner. The Lady at the register just said come on in sometimes Metal sets it off. I did my shopping and as I was leaving it went off again. My first thought was Maybe it was my handgun doing it but didn't want to remove and go through again. Then I went to Home Depot in Smyrna for something ,went through the loading area doors and the alarms went off there too. They waved me to come on in so I did, things getting kind of spooky. I told my wife I was going out to the vehicle and remove the handgun from my holster and come back in, as I left the alarm went off again. I then left the gun in the vehicle and came back through and NO Alarm. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I tried all the ones for the sigs that they had in the model 890, this had a better fit than any others, even though it didn't specify a sig. Cost was about 27.00. Thats not bad for a IWB quality leather holster with metal clip.

I went by Gander Mountain in Bowling Green , Ky yesterday and they had Walther 9mm P1's for 279.95 with 2 mags , holster and cleaning kit. Don't know if the ones in Tennessee have them, just a heads up if anyone interested.

Speaking of how high ammo is now, I was looking in my 1976 Shooters Bible and the Rem 357-158 gr sjhp was 11.15, Rem 9mm-115 gr jhp was 10.55 for 50 per box. Maybe thats why I reloaded then. Would have attached page but not allowed yet. -
I have been looking for a holster to fit my Sig P6, I finally found one that fit like a glove, if anyone is looking. It's a Gould & Goodrich B890-c40, its made to fit the H&K USP 9 Compact, USP 40 Compact, USP 45 Compact. Purchased from Greene Military & Police, Nashville. Great place very helpful personnel.

They had one in a 32acp a few weeks ago at the Franklin Gun Shop, I handled it, was very similar to my Guardian 380, about the same size as the Guardian 32acp. Price was around 500.00 . They may still have it if your interested in taking a look.

Bass Pro UMC 9mm Sale Today Only
59allstate replied to 59allstate's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I picked up a few boxes, I expected supplies to be low, but they had a few hundred boxes just for today, so there were plenty this morning. Not the typical bait and switch. -
Thanks Guys for getting back to me, next time I'll carry.

I went to Bass Pro today for the Remington UMC 9mm sale , before I left I looked at prohibited carry locations and Opry Mills was one, a entry there said Bass Pro might be included. Since riding a Motorcycle there I decided not to carry, not wanting to leave firearm in saddlebags. Anyway no signs are up at doors, and I talked to 2 salesmen in firearms they said no restrictions in Bass Pro but there were in Opry Mills Mall. I tried to put a entry but must be resticted. Thanks John
