  1.   Tell ya what though, if it ever comes to Red States vs Blue States, we're with you guys and I'm speaking for every "Yankee" from a Blue state on here reading this.      Of course we don't want to go to war with ourselves again, and Putin and that ** damn Ahmadinejad would love to see that go down.
  2. Thank you guys.  You all seem to be patriotic Americans, so you're ok in my book.  Yea Obama is to blame for Putin's newly found dictotor-like qualities of taking over neighboring lands.   Signman and Trout, I'll buy the beers.  Well I got a little crazy with the corn whiskey on St. Pattys, so I'm taking a year off drinking.   I'll keep you all updated on how thats going.   Nice day outside, what am I doing inside.   Wife's talking on the phone so I can probably escape to an outdoors environment unnoticed if I go now.
  3. Normally this morning I would have a few choice words for troutberger, and the others who like to bang on us "Damn Yankees" for going where we please in our free country.   But today I thought I might remind everyone of how that damn Russian dictator is moving to expand Russian lands into previously western countries.  I was just reading about all the anti-American propaganda he has put out there in this decade.  Its something like 57% of Russians have a negative view of the US, compared to 7% in the 90's.   Its what dictators to do move their people.        So this morning I would like to apologize...  to Troutberger, Sigmtnman, and any other Southerner I've rattled on in this forum (usually in defense of a fellow Northerner).  We know it's in a Rebel's heart to rebel, so you guys just carry on.  But to all my fellow Northerners:   don't fire back at these guys.   We gotta pull together in this forum.  We're all Americans and thats my standpoint from here on in.
  4. Whats up.  Anybody going to the Lebanon show?
  5. If they were libral "Yankees", sure I would probably whine too.  And yes you will hear of Rebs moving up North for work, and they'll be staying longer then your average retiree.   Again, nobody cares up there.   Its a free country.
  6. Theres plenty of rebs up North, but you won't find us whining about that.
  7. Thats what I'm talking about.  I grew up on dead end road in upstate ny, and thats the same good old "yankee ways" I was raised with too.
  8. Hey brother, fellow conservative upstate NYer here (now live in TN).  Don't be afraid to tell people where we're from.  Everything you wrote about our home state is true.  Its beautitiful country, and nobody has seen rugged country till you've been deer hunting in upstate new york in december  ;)     I moved down here to get away from NY, because you are right - New York City controls the whole state.   Many people don't understand that New York City and our home in upstate NY are completely different - politically, culturally,  scenery,  you name it.    One of the fellas above says "become one of us but don't try to change us".   Well, he's right.  My advice:   respect the Southern people and their ways.  Don't try to change them, but don't change yourself.  They warmly welcome us Northern conservatives.  Nowadays all us conservative Americans need to stick together, and the good people in the South know this just as well..
  9. Anyone know of any taxidermists in Sumner and/or Robertson counties?
  10. Nice thing about hunting small game is you don't have to worry about the orange regulation.  I wear it anyways, but ya don't have to worry if you have a little less than 500 cubic inches on.
  11. Hey Dane, you might find one at Academy or even Goodwill.   Personally I'd just hop on ebay so you know its comin your way soon.
  12. Thanks to all you vets for serving our country.
  13. @TC:  don't assume everyone from NY brings their "Yankee ways" with them when they want to move down south.   Most of NY is rural, upstate NY farmland.  And most of those folks are not Yankees in the way you think of them.  Just an FYI.
  14. Hey everyone. I gotta say this site looks like a great way to connect to other like-mind folks about hunting and gun ownership.  My name's Adam. I'm 33- and originally from rural, upstate NY.  I love my northern woods, but my wife and I just had to escape NY.  I probably don't even need to explain that.   I am very glad to be here in Tennessee.   Having family roots in both TN and VA - its like coming back to something you lost long ago.   I go to some of my local WMA's in middle TN for small game (which is way under-rated), and I'm all for makin some buddies who want to throw down every now and then for some huntin on the weekends.    - Adam
