  1. I was just perusing the Palmetto State Armory site and saw these new 1911s they are offering. Anyone heard anything on these yet? At $799 I can think of others in that price range like the Springfield Range Officer that are amazing 1911s for the money. This one seems to be brand new to the market though...   http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-1911-blue-premium.html
  2. I don't believe so. I just saw the 30 rounders online.
  3. I guess this is a great lessons learned for me. Any other AR I've had I assembled the entire gun myself and never had issue changing/modifying things later on. But with this one everywhere I looked for parts at a reasonable price was out of stock so I just went with an already assembled upper.
  4. Anyone ever seen this before? This is a Radical Firearms 8.5" 300 blackout barrel. I went to change the flash hider. Put it in a vise block like I've done with countless others, put the armorers wrench on it and turned. The whole barrel twisted! I'm thinking the pin that holds it into the receiver broke. I can't know for sure since the torx head bolts holding the handguard on were so tight they twisted my torx bit and stripped the head... Needless to say, it's back with Radical right now being fixed. 5. Hi Point? No, I've seen something like that before. That's a Glock 40 people... And although not perfect, this independent entrepreneur has better trigger finger discipline than a lot of people I see at the range. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
  6. Never bought a used gun from them but I did get a Ruger 1911 lightweight commander for a steal on black Friday last year from them. They had them for $649.99 and free shipping. Processing took a little longer as they didn't have a current copy of my dealer's FFL on file. But once we figured that out I had the gun 2 days after it shipped.
  7. PSA is where I bought this one December 2014. Supply has pretty much dried up. I'm glad I got mine when I did. I got the rifle, sling,3 mags, & cleaning kit for $379. Any that I see online now are $550-600 or more. I was asking the Century Arms guys about them in Nashville at the NRA show last year and they told me at that time (April 2015) that PSA had bought the very last of the stock of the VZ 2008 rifles they made. Mine is a great shooter for sure. And once I sent it back to Century to have them fix the canted front sight, I know, big shock there... I can pretty much hit anything with it.
  8. I don't remember the exact price but it was $18-19 with free shipping from ZFI Inc.
  9. These new mags from Fab Defense were just announced at SHOT show. I ordered one and it shipped direct from Israel. It finally got in today. Haven't shot it yet but seems very well constructed. I was very glad to see this come along as the surplus mags are drying up/getting more expensive. I'll post another update once I get out and shoot with it. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
  10.   It works out great that Mike is only about 5 minutes from where I work too!   A 300 bolt gun is definitely on the list of guns to get. I've got 700 rounds of 147 grain 300 from Freedom Munitions right now. I'm anxious to try out some different brands/bullet weights as I go along in this 300 blackout journey.   I've been a forum reader here for a while but am just now trying to post some more. It's a great community and a wealth of information.
  11. Did forget to mention one thing. I had Mike at Law Enforcement Sales engrave my trust on the lower. He did an awesome job. I can't recommend him highly enough! And I have my suppressor going through him for transfer as well. And a Glock 43 hopefully next week...
  12. It will be MORE than adequate once I get that suppressor on it! :-)
  13. It is the Radical upper. 8.5 inch model. I definitely want to change out the hand guard but overall I'm very happy with it! Especially for the price. And timing wasn't too bad. I ordered it 2/13 and they said it would take up to 8 weeks but it was delivered yesterday.

  15. Finally got my tax stamp a couple weeks back and Brown Santa brought my upper last night! Bought a Yankee Hill Phantom earlier in the week that should go quite well with this little beauty. Now for that wait... The SBR stamp took a hair over 3 months. I imagine with the new NFA ruling on trusts, this stamp for the suppressor may take a bit longer :wall:  Only other plans I really have for it are a CMC trigger and a slightly longer hand guard.
  16. Question: So now that I have the electronic copy of my approved form 1, the ATF will still send me the hard copy in the mail correct? If so, how long does that usually take?
  17.     At least for those getting stamps back right now... I've thought about SBRing my M92 PAP. I most likely still will but I imagine with the new rules taking effect in a few months submitting one now will have a bit longer wait time.
  18. Wow. Good timing. I got the approval email this morning. I e-filed 11/7, approval received 2/16
  19.   Was this your first application? I submitted my form 1 for SBR with a trust on 11/7. Hoping my timeline follows yours!
  20. Thanks for all the great info guys! I carry a Glock 26 now for my edc gun. But this does give me a nice excuse to buy another knife, AND go ahead with that purchase of either a Glock 43 or S&W 442 I've been looking at...
  21. I tried going to that site and it gives me a 403-forbidden error.
  22. I have a question I'm hoping you all can help me with here. I'm going to Destin, Florida for vacation later in the year. This will be my first trip out of state since getting my carry permit a few years ago. Is there anything important I really should be aware of? I know they don't allow "open carry" per se. But If I print or if my shirt gets blown up a little from the wind am I breaking the law at that point should be pistol become exposed? Also, my edc knife is an HK auto/switchblade. Anyone tell me if that will be kosher down there or should I take a regular folder knife? Thanks in advance for the help!
  23. You could also check out YouTube for more information. There are several good channels with basic information on pipe smoking. There's a guy on there with the channel name 1968Eric that has a series of very informative videos for the beginning pipe smoker.
