If you're not set on them SOE's shipping times are down. I have an Ares and my friends have SOE and I personally prefer SOE. Your mileage may vary.

While it is purely entertainment, I think it is interesting to see the AR pass the test that the conventional "wisdom" said it should fail. While I certainly believe that the old thought that AKs are inaccurate is probably B.S. too, this just shows how useless most of the gun store "wisdom" may be.
Food for thought: there are tons of stories of AKs being buried and being found by soldiers who picked them up and fired them. Most everything we hear on the internet is useless crap that is blown out of proportion. Small problems turn into massive failures on the part of one particular brand. I believe Abraham Lincoln said "Don't believe everything you read on the internet."

You do realize this proves nothing. It shows that you shouldn't throw a gun in a wheelbarrow full of mud. That's not a shot a you it is just a general displeasure at "tests" like this and what AKOU does.

Thanks for the information, Shotgunshooter. Have you killed any coyotes with the 17HMR? If so, at what range and was it a "dead right there" situation, or did you have to do some follow up tracking? Thanks.
I haven't shot a yote with a 17. I did kill two foxes which were dead right there at 100. While I like my 22 Mag better I have had better luck with the 17 HMR. I don't know what it is but the round with a 17 gr bullet is like hitting small animals with a lightning bolt. I know the reply is a little late and it looks like you got what you need from some of the other replies.

Yes. All I shoot is steel. I've hit man size silhouettes at 100 with it. The ammo isn't any less accurate than anything else I've shot. Buy the crap out of it and shoot the crap out of it. You won't have any complaints. So what if a part breaks. You can easily replace it and still save money.

In my experience of shooting all sorts of small game, 17 HMR is where it's at. Stay away from the TNT rounds and you should be fine.
