  1. The overall show was much better than Lousiville. Lots more room to move around. Wider aisles, and as bad as Atlanta's traffic is, it was still better than Louisville's in the rain.
I thought this was interesting from Pantheon Arms. Combined with a folding stock from Law Tactical, an AR can be made really stinking small and ready to go in seconds. http://www.opticsplanet.com/pantheon-arms-dolos-take-down-kit-for-ar-15.html
I'd want to know more about it and how it might affect accuracy vs. a normal barrel nut.

Plus the Palmetto State Armory booth is always worth a stop.

Can you give any information about the PSA AKs or anything relating to DDI?

  2. What I can't fit in magazines goes in 30 or 50 cal cans or stays in factory packaging. With cans, I have found this to be the easiest way to store ammo for use at the range and "grab and go use." It's kind of hard to run a bunch of boxes out to your vehicle vs. grabbing a can. I like the ammo vending machine. That would be a great addition to a man cave or at a private range. I think a gumball machine would be even cooler if there is a way to make it work out there.

Shockwave also OK for shouldering, per their website:

im pretty much considering the exact same build, maybe on zastava pap 92 instead of Draco.

I would go with the Draco over the PAP because it takes standard AK muzzle devices and furniture. I also believe that the Dracos are higher quality than the PAPs. I see you are in Gibson County and if you want to shoot my Draco next week I would be happy to let you do that since I'm in McKenzie. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

  4. I have a shockwave on mine with a stormwerkz hinge on it. Granted you will have to tap the receiver but it is a rock solid setup. Even though the shockwave wasn't mentioned in the letter one, I am of the opinion that the shockwave is in the same league as a sig brace. If you do get the shockwave make sure you get the KAK tube for it.

  5. Isn't it still all about intent? If they weren't going to enforce this ruling before then why even keep SBRs on the registry? I want to see Cheeto Jesus and Congress get SBRs and silencers off of the NFA. I wonder what is next to come from F Troop. Maybe rubber bands will no longer be considered machine guns.

Cabelas and go with the bib overalls/set that the pro fishermen use.  Their job depends on it.

That is becoming a trend that I am seeing with people who shoot. They will wear the overalls and wear something like frog toggs for a top.

  7. I have used frog toggs for the last two years. It is extremely lightweight but still not what I am looking for. I also have a Beretta shooting jacket that i have just started using which keeps me pretty warm. It does lack a hood but keeps me extremely comfortable. I spent the last four days out in the rain at the Gamaliel Cup freezing and wet even though I had a rain coat. Definitely looking for some rain pants. My personal favorite is anything Gore-Tex which I have for several hunting coats. Does anyone have a good suggestion for rain pants?

  8. I've finished up my collegiate season and won't pick up a shotgun until June. I'm shooting these state shoots this summer: NC, TN, AR, and KY. I will be shooting the Southern Zone the second week of July in NC or KY and will finish out my season by being in IL from 27 July until 12 August shooting the AIM Nationals and the Grand American. I haven't been shooting handguns at all and have been playing around with my AKs when I have free time. I have signed up to take Versatile Rifle at Hilltop Firearms Training Center on 20 May. I get my fair share of shooting in but it comes in spurts.

  9. It's normal. Mine have always come the last week before the event. I was expecting to have them by today, but even if they don't arrive before I leave for Atlanta, it's no big deal. Just register at the door.

Mine never came last year and I made the deadline for registration

  10. Nice AK's fellas!

I need to pick up a couple more myself.

Anyone know if RWC aka Saiga is back up?

I know they had a lot of new stuff coming out, but I've not seen anything produced yet.

They moved to Florida if I remember correctly. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on new stuff from them. It's been a constant pain waiting on promised products from them since they moved some operations to the US.
