I wanted a 9mm, and since Glock "is the AK of handguns", I went with the 19.  I made the mistake of going with a Gen-4.    I saw many reviews of target pros who probably did mods before they fired the first round.  If you want to pop caps, it's a fine gun.  If you want to run a tight pattern, it needs trigger work.  Some folks just polish the parts and say it's nice, (25c mod).  I found a cheep, competition trigger system on e-bay; it's nice.    It's simple work to do it yourself, but the Gen-4 isn't an improvement.
  2. My primary carry is the 45 XD(M) mod2, it's as accrete as a 1911 at 40',  It's the size of a Glock 19, but cheaper, and it needs NO work, straight from the box.
