Understood. I re-read your original post and you were not soliciting for opinons on the Beretta, rather where to buy them in West Tennessee. My bad. Nice post Chuck, I think I've picked out another $300 worth for my AR!

I was real interested in the Beretta 9mm Storm carbine at one point until I held one side-by-side with the Bushmaster Carbon 15 9mm. The AR is very lightweight and for me, better handling in regards to shouldering and pointability. If the Berettas were still available in the $600 range, that might have made a difference. However, I was able to acquire the AR for about the same price.

I would like to purchase a 10/22 receiver for a build project as I haven't located a good "donor" gun from which to scavenge a receiver. Are there any dealers within a reasonable drive from Knoxville that can order a receiver from Tactical Solutions, Kidd, Nodak Spud, or MOA? I realize I can order one myself and transfer it through an FFL, but I thought I would see if any dealers are interested as they can buy at wholesale and make a little off the deal.

I sold a gun on this forum a few months back. I conservatively overestimated the number of rounds fired. It was an M&P 9c. I bought it and never liked the dangling pinky (short grip). I don't think I shot two boxes of ammo through it.

You are likely looking at a sign for Fox & Company. I haven't been in there in a long time but the last time I was in, their gun side of the business wasn't much. Back in the early to mid 1980's they were a fully stocked gun store and had a gunsmith onsite. I'm not sure anymore. I recall they had (have) some decent marine mechanics also. You might look them up and give them a call, it has been several years since I visited the store.

The one I sold included a mag sleeve for the fullsize mags. It extended the grip nicely.

I did not know spinners were okay at Norris. I wouldn't mind setting some out at distance as I like shooting reactive targets. I used to love shooting at Norris, but the past few years it has gotten so crowded that I usually drive the extra distance to one of the WMA ranges. Maybe I'll give it another shot (pun intended).

Knoxville Gun Show this weekend (November 28-29) - Chilhowee Park Has anyone been? I was just curious about the vendor turnout and if there are any deals? I might go tomorrow.

I saw one over the weekend (Randy's in Knoxville). As a P22 owner, I always thought a .380 version would be on my list. The P22 is very fun to shoot. However, the .380 ammo issue is causing me to pause on purchasing that caliber and I've moved out of the "tacticool" mode. Definitely a neat gun, but my tastes have changed.

I had a Ruger 22/45 Mark II that I liked but I replaced it with Browning Buckmark Field Target which I like even better. I had a Ruger Bearcat revolver I regret selling, I wish I could find another in stainless. Although not quite as accurate as the Ruger or Browning, the Wather P22 is very fun to plink with.

Kahr just recently added a PM9 version with a manual safety. Perhaps some of their other models will get this option in the future.

I know what you mean. In 1983, you could buy a brand new Ruger 10-22 for less than $100 and 1000 rounds (bulk) of ammo for less than $10. My point is, .22's used to be dirt cheap to shoot.

I appreciate the workmanship, but like others, too much for me. About the only engraving I've ever found appealing are the subtle rollmarks on a Ruger Bearcat's cylinder.

Drove into the parking lot around 11:40 AM, coupon in pocket, looked at the line to the steps in the rain and thought about how packed it would be inside and drove home. Based on my visits to the last few shows, I doubt any vendors have what I am looking for anyhow (AR lower). I've had better luck online lately, even with the expense and hassle of FFL transfers. Now, if I were looking for a Glock, Chinese optics, jerky, cheap knives, gutter guards, or perfume, I might have scored. If I'm mistaken, let me know and I'll try again tomorrow.
