Minimum wage in the 60's was $1.60, I think, so you could buy about 18 rds/hr then. At $7.25 today, you can buy the same number of rounds if they're priced at roughly 40 cents each. In terms of purchasing power, not much has changed with ammo prices, seems like ...
So, what you're saying, is the economy has sucked like a 426 Hemi powered vacuum cleaner before, like we're in now? Lol.

Garufa, that looks like refried dog crap.

I need a rugged smart phone too. one that I can slam against the floor or ground, and it'll still work. Lol.

Yeah, there's a lot that are willing to pay ridiculous prices. My cut off is about $7.00 a hundred. Although I have to admit, I bought a few at $10.00 a hundred awhile back. Hope I never do that anymore.

Look, all this stuff about 45 ACP going down the tubes does not stand the reality test. Look at today's choices in good 45 ACP caliber guns.
I'd not make a decision on what is going out of style by what cartridges are on shelves anywhere. I am a reloader. My concern is the primer shortage. I could give a care less about the Big Box and steel cased ammo from the third world.
Would I trade my Glock, HK or Colt in 45 ACP for any 9mm? Not is this lifetime. Well, maybe a Swiss SIG 210. This hype about 9mm has all the ring of repeated dogma from the gun rags. Wonder what will be the caliber rage in five years? If I'm still on the green side of the grass then there will be multiple 45ACP caliber guns back in the Skunk Works. My lone 9mm is a SCCY.
The "primer shortage" bothers me too. I look for primers almost every time I stop at a gun store. No luck for awhile now. Finding bullets for reloading are a problem sometimes too. A lot of the cast bullet companies are sold out a lot of the times.

I can still easily buy 45 acp thankfully. I go back and forth between loving .45 and 9mm more.
Yeah, I saw a little .45 Today. Not great prices but, was some available. I've started loading some too.

Colt SAA and a Winchester 92? Movie, I have no idea.

Didn't seem to be a "hot" load. Looked at the brass after seating deeper and firing. Primers looked good, and shot good. My load is 5.0 gr. Unique and Winchester standard primers.

I bought a Promag 8 round magazine Yesterday at Academy. I've not tried it yet. But, everything I see online says it's junk. Nobody likes them. I'll just have to find out for myself.

Mine is the 4". I think it's a goodun for the price.

Probably Covid. At least that's what Falsey would say.

Yeah, you have to be careful these days, just being a helpful person. I don't stop anymore for anybody I don't know. Lots of people now are just crap.

Sorry for both of your losses. The 19th of this month will be the anniversary of my fathers death. 53 years ago. Bless you both.

Shot the Tisas 1911a1, and put about 60 rounds through it. Doesn't like 200 gr SWC at all. Had to do the old slide slap several times. Might have to seat a little deeper but, don't think that will help much. Probably have to get a different "clipazine". Shoots and feeds fine with 230 gr. FMJ and 230 gr. HP.

By the way, I shot the RIA Model 200, with some 158 gr. SWC handloads, and it's a good shooter. Nice trigger too.

Could be Gallipoli, reminds me a little of a Sten variation of some sort.

My mother had a big shelf in the basement that was always full of canned food. Must've been 7 feet high by about 16 feet long. After us kids all grew up and moved out, it got less and less .

Me and the wife are still putting some stuff out. Gonna have to till up some more ground sometime this week before work and put some more tomatoes and cucumbers out.

Yeah, I was gonna say, primers are like gold but, maybe more like silver.

I seated the bullets deeper to 1.115" and tried it. Fed like a greased pig. Problem is, I have about 400 more rounds loaded like that, and need to seat all deeper. Fun fun fun.

I would think the Gen 3 17 parts would interchange. A friend built one of these a couple years ago.
