  1. Rifle will be going back to Ruger this week. New Mag = still jamming Different ammo = still jamming Cleaned and relubed = still jamming
  2. This is the setup I need. When it comes time to house shop again, I'm not settling for anything inside city limits and having less than 10-20 acres.
  3. Welcome! I guess people do read my sig on those other forums after all!
  4. An actual target will really help you see why you're not hitting what you're aiming at. For instance, if you shoot right handed and your shots are hitting low and to the left, you're flinching when you pull the trigger. They'll be low and to the right if you're shooting left handed. Stuff like that helps you fix the problem. Shooting coke bottles is fun, but not near as informative.
  5. Welcome! Nice to have you with us. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you've got a Glock. Which one(s)?
  6. Ya'lls mammas must walk bow-legged!!!
  7. I noticed Texas is on there, but Texas issues firearms to kids at birth.
  8. Welcome! Most of the folks here are pretty nice to each other. Kick your feet up and stay awhile.
  9. Just saw this elsewhere and thought it was funny (and sad) enough to share... It'd be a hoot to get some decals made up like that and start slapping them on the doors of businesses that prohibit carry. Too bad it'd also be considered vandalism.
  10. Senator Norris will be receiving my email of thanks in mere moments.
  11. That's easily done and I figure we can allow it here. On some other forums, people tend to delete their posts to hide evidence of things they said in the past. But then, that might not be bad here either.

Wait and see how bad he wants the M&P. He might come around to your terms of trade + cash. Like I said, your gun is worth more than his. I wouldn't trade evenly.

You're talking about the M&P? If you can't describe why you didn't like it, it's going to be hard to offer suggestions on things to try that might help you warm up to it. Sometimes guns just boil down to personal preference. If the M&P isn't your mug o' beer then you might offer to trade it to the other guy for his SIG + cash. Like $100-150 or so. He might seem offended by that, but his gun isn't worth as much as your M&P is on the open market.
  15. Just wanted to mention that I pieced together a similar feature for the TGO Portal page right beneath the list of people who are online.

    Gun help!

My experience has been that anytime someone offers you to trade even, there's something about whatever you have that is more desirable than what they have. Especially if he's willing to give up night sights ($100 value) to move to the M&P. I like SIGs but their polymer guns are just weird. I'd stick with the M&P if it were my decision. PS: I just did a search on Gunbroker and there are a half-dozen 2022's in 9mm, brand new, for under $400. The M&P prices are about to go up per Smith & Wesson and it's already difficult to find them for under $500. On Target in Murfreesboro was asking $569 for their M&P .40SW last week and it should be priced the same as the 9mm. Even more reason to stay with what you have!
  17. I have been informed by a local ACS representative that skeet shooting will also be a part of the event!
  18. It should already show that on the forum home page?
  19. I'm adding a poll to this thread to see who could maybe make it out on Saturday, April 14th.
  20. Just a word of warning that Red Robin is usually really packed because of how new it is. If you want to spend less time waiting and more time shooting, I'd suggest Moe's.
  21. So... are we still doing this and at what time? Eating before or after?
  22. Remind me not to shake your hand if we ever meet.
  23. I was an Eagle Scout and we did this sort of wilderness survival thing several times. I carry enough stuff in my truck to get me by were I to break down somewhere also. What's in my kit depends on the season. I don't carry winter clothes in the summer, etc. "Be prepared".
