By noon today I hadn't heard from anyone. I called the drugstore first. The dentist had prescribed ibuprofen for pain. Can't take ibuprofen with Eliquis, a blood thinner. That's why they needed to talk with the dentist. I asked about Tylenol, yes you can. I have 3 in a bottle so I'll need more. I get to walmart and plan to buy the Equate double pack. Nope, exp date of 8/24. Single bottle exp date 8/25, got one. Yesterday I asked about an appointment to pull the tooth. The dentist said, I want you on the Amoxicillin for 3 days and off the Eliquis for 3 days before pulling it. I think an appointment could have been set up for Monday or Tuesday. I didn't question it. I called today and my appointment is 8 am Tuesday. I asked why I couldn't setup the appointment at the office yesterday. We set appointments by phone calls only.

Tuesday at 4 am I woke with a tooth ache. I search the cabinet for pain relief pills. Tylenol 500 mg, only 5 in the bottle. Take 2 and start my morning. I search online for dentist close by, no one opens before 8 am. The first 10 or so can see me in later April, May and June. Last call, we can see you at another office at 4pm Wednesday. Great, my heart doctor is near, I have a bill to pay and pick up sample drugs. I have a pick up at the drugstore to get too. The dentist office is between them. 2:50 pm, I'm leaving the doctor's office headed to the drugstore. Got a call from the dentist. We are closing early, can we see you at 1:30 pm Wednesday. Sure. I got there at 12:45 and finished up at 4 pm. I take Eliquis, need a doctor's permission in writing before they will pull the tooth. Call my nurse, leave a message. She calls back, will forward a form to the office near me. Got it back to the dentist. Head to the drugstore for Amoxicillin. The druggist is on the phone, can't get the dentist to answer. Needs to hear from them that they know I take Eliquis before filling the scrip. Got to be off the Eliquis and on the Amoxicillin for 3 days before they will pull the tooth. Weekend is coming up, looks like I'll have this pain for a week.

Dad helped him set up and break down at a Memphis show once. Said he had a ton of powder, some brand names and some surplus and Wolf primers in sp 9mm and sr 223. 10 and 20 gallon paper drums of pulled bullets and primed cases. We weren't into loading 223 at the time or he would have traded his work time for some.

I found David's number and gave him a call. He remembers that powder, didn't get very much of it. Said to use 1680 or 2015BR data starting at 25% less. Can't remember anything else about it.

Garufa, this thread is about the 7.62X39 powder. Yep, we got side tracked on the other. Magnum Metals, Magnum Material/s, David Mosely, David Moseley came up empty on facebook.
-
I looked up Magnum Materials on facebook. It's steel buildings in Nettleton, MS What's David's last name?

In the reload section I started with page 194 and worked back. Stopped on page 104. Lot of looking and reading, got to rest my eyes. David joined 10/9/2009. First post I found was 12/6/09. So far last post was 1/28/13. The site shows him as an inactive member. Dolomite was a member from 3/29/2010 until 1/22/2023. So far last post was 1/22/2013. He gave out his data for 842 with 223 late in 2012 and just got back into loading 7.62X39 using Varget.

I searched the supply thread. David's first post was 2/9/2010, his last post was 4/8/2013. That gives me a time frame to search the reloading thread. I saw a couple that my dad made too.

I believe this powder came from David (DLM or DLM37015). It's not mine. I went alone with dad when he got the WC842. David told him the compared powder to use data from. Added that info to the jug and in his records. David did a lot for the reloaders. Drove long distances to pick up and to sell. Dad met him twice in Southaven while he was traveling to Jackson, MS. He did shows in Memphis and Southaven. Dad said once, he's in Kansas City this weekend. Sam and her husband worked a show in Southaven. Dad asked about David, home ill. Sam helped with sells, don't think she wanted into the travel and buying. I remember dad talked about Dolomite a few times. Said if he ever got to the east side of the state he'd like to meet him.

Has anyone bought this 7.62X39 Gunpowder 8#? Just a white label on a black plastic jug. Do you have a powder to compare with it?

Yep, time to get the charcoal Furness heated up.

Traveling through TN years ago I stopped at Stones River gun range. They collected cases, separated brass, steel, aluminum and 22's. Tumbled and bagged per 100, sold for $3 per 100. Special pistol and rifle cases were $5 per 100. That would give me the idea of pistol cases worth .03 each. By the chart 9mm has 117.7 cases per lb. The scrapyards that list scrap prices near me show brass at .90 per lb. Of all the websites I've posted about looking for a way to get rid of these cases by selling for reloading or scrap I had 1 reply wanting to know what other cases I had. The buyer offered me .02 per case for the dirty range pick up. Saved me time dealing with washing and tumbling.

2 smaller indoor ranges I've used in the past. 3 scrapyards in north Memphis. I'll get their numbers and give them a call. My son likes to melt aluminum for ant hills. A bit more heat needed to melt brass, might sell some ingots easier.

Asking for comments on where to get rid of it, make a little for my time would be great. I called my local RangeUSA and asked who got their cases, Western. Western what? I searched, Western Reloading? I searched their site. All I saw was new cases like Starline. 9mm cases aren't worth trying to sell to reloaders. One comment I got was, why buy it when you can pick up all you need at most any range for free. On another site I was asked what other cases I had. I filled a large flat rate box with dirty sorted brass in bags for a cheaper price than average. Ads on craigslist gun related get closed fast. Lead listed for sinkers and other casting projects will sometimes stay. Add bullets to the ad and it's closed. Brass cases gets closed. Marketplace, I see some reloading stuff listed in Tools. Some stay and others are closed. Depends on what it is.

Reloading tips you don’t mind sharing
DeepSouth replied to gregintenn's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
"New books contain good info and I do buy them but the old books contain calibers the new books drop." I've found better data from older books than new ones. Don't be afraid to ask for data, Hopefully someone will post a photo from an old book that helps a lot. I buy a powder, put a piece of white duct tape on it. Look at the burn rate chart and put it's number on the tape. Helps a lot when your older powder is removed from the chart. Easier than searching for older charts. -
I have 2 5 gallon buckets of 9mm brass to get rid of. Can't find a buyer for spent cases in my area. I first posted this in the reloading section. Someone thought I was running an ad and I got a warning. I posted here to clear things up.

Pull down from Lake City. Dennis sold it years ago.

Crappie Masters tournament out of Engineers Point yesterday. Couldn't buy a parking spot a mile from the ramp. One smoker I talked to thought the walk was going to kill him. We fished the spillway. I missed 4 at the bank, 4 out farther. My son got two 11" crappie and missed 4.

Dang, I meant WC846. My notes say to use BL-C2 data at 10% less at start.

Anyone work with this powder in 308 with a 150 gr SP bullet?

I've trolled Sardis a lot in the past. 16 ft rods, Johnson Century reel for line storage. 6 jigs 1 ft apart 6 rods out front 6 out the rear. That's before rules were changed. I now kayak and use trigger spin reels. Camp at Pat's Bluff and sometimes at Clear creek so I'm close to the honey hole.

hipower, the auction house had that style bench from Wren for $110. I almost bought 1.

I got a cart just like the tool box I had at work. 27" wide, 48" long. Double doors, shelves behind one and drawers behind the other with 4" casters for $50. I'll add 3/4" plywood to the top for another reloading bench. It's in between chair and stool height, see which one I want to modify. Most likely a chair so I'll have arm and backrest. My son got the other one to use in his garage for tools.
