  1. I have a fobus holster and was having the same problem with the digging. Got some A-shirts and it seems to help a lot.
  2. I have used CTD many times in the past for a few items with no problems. As of late they seem to be doing a bit of gouging on some of their ammo though.
  3. i would also like to know. How could any of this be good news?
  4. i also use a NEF 10 ga.. mine seems to like the federal 5 shot the best.
  5. i used to howl to start but don't any more. now i just start wiht low rodent calls or go to the good old rabbit-in-distress. never could do any good with the howling. mabye i was just doing it the wrong time of year.
  6. i have used the lil' dawg with some good results. don't know about middle and west tenn but here in the east tenn mountains the yote's just don't come to my howling. i envy you guys who get to hunt that good flat land!

  8. Remington game load at wally world is 50 bucks for 250 rnds. here. 8 shot seems to work good in my gun when i am out playing around shooting skeet.
  9. the best thing, i my opinion is to just learn to be able to live off the land. in the event of any kind of break down in society, you my have to gather your own food and many other things. first off, you can forget about going to the grocery store. even if you have food stocked up, if the disruption last to long supplies will run out. ditto for ammo. that is where a good flint lock rifle comes into play. it only takes 3 ingredients to make your own black powder, charcoal, saltpeter, and sulfur. wheel weights can make an excellent source of lead for making your own round balls. pouring hot lead from some height into water makes some crude shot. as for getting away far enough from everyone, just don't think it can be done in this day and time. best a person could do is find the roughest territory you can find and hope it is enough to make people not want come in there. learning what nature produces for us to eat and getting back to the hunter-gatherer state of mind will probably be one of the most essential things to making it through some forms disaster. knowledge will be our best offense an defense.
  10. if you build with concrete, would you not need a road? And if u have a road can't anyone follow you to your place? I thought the whole point of bugging out was to go to a place where it made it harder to find you. just saying.
  11. From your drawings looks to me like your building your own sub-division:eek:. what ever happened to the good ol' days of cave dwelling:woohoo:. All in all though it looks like u have really put some good thought into this.
  12. i have the ultra varmint hunter in.223 and a ten gauge. the .223 is very, very accurate and cant beat that old ten gauge in the early spring. never had any problems with them. in my mind, for the money h&r and nef are as good as any firearm you can buy.
  13. If the toms are henned up try mocking the hens by matching every call they make. i have had good success calling in the hens and when they come to you so will that old longbeard.
  14. I carry Golden Sabre in my .45, TAP FPD in my 9mm, and i am trying to find a load that shoots straight in my S&W .357.
  15. welcome
  16. Don't laugh to much, probably a sign of things to come!
  17. The price is certainly right, though the ballistics at their website would seem to indicate this is a pretty hot 9mm load I have noticed their ballistic charts also. Do any of who have shot this ammo know if it is loaded as hot as they say it is?
