  1. Yeah, I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a Troy, but changed my mind because I didn't think it'd look right. Outside of the price I'm very happy with the purchase though. DD makes wonderful products and this rail is light and perfect for my project.
  2. Here is my progress, minus the barrel and stock. I went with the Daniel Defense MFR 12.0. It seemed to fit all that I needed and also looks good.
  3. Stopped in and bought a couple things...nice store, nice staff.
  4. Magpul BUIS, Vortex Sparq, can be railed but not a fan of gratuitous open railing. Only will be mounting a flashlight in the 11:00 position forward the receiver.
  5. Looking for suggestions on what would be the best looking option for my newest build. Any ideas are appreciated and welcomed. Oh, and by the way the barrel will be a Matte Stainless Rainier Arms 14.5 incher with a black pinned/welded Battlecomp 1.5.
  6. Sorry for the "fill in the blanks" post. Can't expect help if I don't offer ALL the clues!
  7. It's for a Glock model 23, third generation.
  8. Somehow I lost my original trigger housing pin when trying to replace my crimson trace laser sight. I tore up everything trying to find it and have had no luck. Anyone know of a shop I can pick one up at, or does someone here have one lying around in a spare parts box.
  9. This is a *NEW* CMMG lower my wife bought me for my birthday. I added a couple of new accessories to it to get it up to snuff/my standards. Added theTroy enhanced trigger guard, Magpul ASAP single-point sling, and MOE grip, and KNS anti-rotation pins to handle increased pressure loads and high velocity rounds. Plan on mating this beauty to a CMMG .300 Blackout upper when it comes in and I cant wait! Pretty proud because I am nowhere near mechanically inclined and I did ALL the upgrades on my own.

    M&P Shortage

Was with the wife today when she picked up a M&P .40c from Specialty Arms. CONSIDERABLY lower price because it was used, but I looked it over and it appeared to be brand new to me. They had brand new 9mm and .40c in thier S&W case too, but my wife saved about $150 off the NEW price.
  11. Thanks Mike for the inspiration!
  12. I like the work you do Gray, like that 17 also. Think I'm gonna try this myself!
  13. Looks good! It appears aggressive but also seems to fit.
  14. Mike, who did the job for you or did you do it yourself?
  15. I am trying to find out if anyone knows of someone local, who can perform a grip cutdown on a Glock pistol. I'd like my 22 to be able to accept 23 or 27 magazines. I know there are purists who believe I shouldn't do this to a perfectly good weapon, but I like the idea for its functionality. (concealability, and larger sight radius) There are numerous online places that I've seen that can do the job, but would rather trust someone locally with the task. Any info given would be helpful.
  16. Please delete this posting.
  17. Anyone know of a Nashville (or near) gun shop that carries Glock conversion barrels. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. I love my Glock 27, its like a midget with a big butt and breasts. The perfect package.
  19. This was my wife's favorite pistol, and I secretly loved it also despite my Glock fetish but she traded it sometime back on a Kahr CW9 because "It feels better in my hands." I miss that M&P.
  20. It really is a matter in what is most comfortable for you. I myself like the Glock 36.7 rounds is more than enough rounds to get the job done if you're accurate, and that comes from practice not more rounds.100 rounds will be no good if you can't shoot accurately.
  21. I say get the 3rd generation, you'll be happy with it I'm sure.
  22. Love the 709. Trigger definately takes some getting used to but is a great gun for carry. I would suggest the crossbreed myself. Great gun + great holster = great carry
