I have been on Atkins low carb diet since February of this year. Lost 60 lbs. I have been pretty strict but I decided to buy some Ben and Jerry's Half Baked ice cream for tonight. The reason why I am going to break my diet is: A) to celebrate RR's victory to throw a pity party if it goes the other way Either way I can wait it eat the ice cream! Yum !! Yum !!

If RR wins, I will be Very Happy and Thank the stars that at least enough of the American People have awoke from this Obama nightmare. If I Obama wins , I will be very unhappy and scratching my head asking how can the American people do this.. After that Life goes on and we all will have to deal with whatever comes our way and figure ways around /and work with government intrusion into our life. I think I will stop watching the news, listening to the Talk shows and reading Blogs. or not we'll see.

I’m somewhat stunned to be writing that as I never really thought he could win until about the moment Clint Eastwood trotted out on stage at the Republican National Convention with that empty chair. I get the enormity of what is at stake in the election. I get it. I really do. I get the passion. I get the excitement. If Mitt Romney wins, I won’t be running through the streets cheering. I think, either way, it is all part of the design. The world is going down hill. Barack Obama re-elected just gets us down the slippery slope faster in my view. For others, it is Mitt Romney who does. God is sovereign and He is in charge and He will return. That is my hope and my ever present expectation. We often get so wrapped up in the view of things at ground level, we forget to look at the world from 50,000 feet. In the historic, grand scheme of things, this too will end. Don’t confuse me with a fatalist and don’t confuse me with someone who does not really care about the future of our nation. I think we are the last best hope of mankind on this planet. But my destiny is not tied to this planet. While I am here, however, I have convictions that are greater than either candidate and either party and I fight more for a cause than a candidate. I expect, regardless of who is in the White House, I’ll find myself at odds with them, though more so with Obama than Romney. When I wake up on Wednesday morning, I’m still going to have my wife. I’m still going to have my kids. I’m still going to have my family. And I’m still going to have my God. So will you. Some of you, on both sides, are convinced that the end of the world is nigh. It is. But not quite yet and no one really knows when. What I do know for sure is that I’m headed home to eternity and this world is temporary. So while I like politics and have my side and want it to win, I’m not going to be partying in the street if my side does win and I’m not going to think the end of the world is upon us if my side loses. You should not either. Too many of my friends have gotten so focused on the outcome and are so convinced the country as they know it is over if the other side wins that they are joyless to be around right now. This is a sad but interesting interview that Beck had with Charles Wood, Father of Tyrone Woods(Navy Seal) who was killed in Benghazi. We went to Nolensville location to vote at 2pm. Took about 15 minutes to get in and out. My son was with me and he had a on a t-shirt that said "want to be my Bahama mamma." On it. The older ladies behind the desk had a hoot with that on his shirt. He turned many shades of red. LOL.

The more I get range time with the shield, the more I like it. I am using the 7 rd magazine with no extension because it conceals easier and handles well.

Picked up the 9mm version Friday. First impressions is it is smaller than I thought , very slim and concealable. Came packed in oil. Saturday morning I cleaned it up, (very simple takedown and reassembly) and headed to the range. I must say WOW ! it is an amazingly accurate handgun with very little recoil. I shot the mp shield better right out of the box than any handgun I have ever tried. No issues at all, put 150 rounds through it with no problems and had a blast. I like everything about this handgun. This will become My EDC as soon as I can find a good IWB for it. All I can say is the reviews and reports I have read online are accurate about the quality of the MP Shield. If you get a chance get yourself One, you want be disappointed.
