  1. I have one. What would you like to know?
  2. dralarms

    Taurus PT1911

I got the blued one WITH a CTC laser for $699.00 plus tax and background NIB. Now it's $779.99. Haven't shot it yet but soon.
  3. EXactly, however I will admit that I have in the past placed my BUG in my pocket and went in anyway. While I travel and sometimes it's in a "different" part of town. (Don't mean bad but the haris stand up on the back of my neck). I figure IF I get caught (which ain't likely) I'd rather explain to a judge why I had it than explain (or not even be able to) to my family why someone I love got hurt while I had the means to protect them. We need to start NOW so we can try and get that bill passed next session.
  4. Yea the local class here did the same thing. I did a little research and showed him he was wrong. He needs to call everyone in that class that he told that hockey to and correct himself. He could be in big crap city if someone was to tape the class for "training purposes" and it find it's way to the state.
  5. I had the opportunity to fondle a sabre Ar15 once while thy were wooing my lgs. Man that thing was nice. The one I checked out was a "tacticle" rifle I think that's what he said. anyway it was around $1500.00 and came in a very nice range bag, 3 30 rounders and a "shooters mat". the trigger on that thing was light and crisp. I really couldn't feel the trigger "snap" just felt the firing pin fall.
  6. 410's I've been trying to get one for 3 years now. Figured it would make a good snake gun while mowing & such.
  7. I don't know who he is but I do want to know why and how you can get one of those "ducktown" firearms and I can't.:mad:
  8. You can take it in Athens, it's 60.00 and you shoot 50 rounds 10 rounds at 5 different distances. I'm not sure of the scheduling for the Knoxville class but here they have them Sat morn 9 to 1 and it's right at the range so no traveling once you get to the class. I have been through their class twice (once for me and I attended when my wife when through it). PM me if you want the contact number.
  9. Face it folks. The NRA = Pit bull, well trained but still does crap that you don't like. The GOA = Pekingese, little yard dog that if it does eventually sink it's teeth into something they will have already robbed you blind.
  10. Dariks, I have gone as far as to have to do an emergency service call at of all places the local police station . I was driving my wifes explorer and had no "lockable" solution. It is posted no gun area and has the right "signage" so I did the only thing a red blooded American from TN could do. I walked right in to the police station and plopped it down on the captians desk and told him he had to hold it for me since I had no way of locking it up. Didn't even raise an eyebrow. Did my thing and took possesion of my firearm. He didn't even "check" it. Just laid it in his desk until I was done and smiled and handed it back to me.
  11. I agree, as long as you leave it in your vehicle you should be fine. I do work in schools also. I disarm but do NOT remove my holster. No one has even looked at me twice. Including the SRO's. Be careful not to "rearm" until you are off the school property. I keep a "sportsafe" in my vehicle for just such an occasion. Right before arriving I disarm and after leaving I rearm.
  12. Just don't go into the "bar" area and you are fine. I carry mine all the time, was in a hotel in Nashville 2 weeks ago and went right past the bar with mine on and printing (3 hrs in the car at 5 am and I forgot to "straighten" after getting out). no one even looked twice at me. Maybe it's because I look like I am supposed to be carrying (big person walk with authority). Not sure but had no problems.
  13. Welcome to TGO and finally someone from my neck of the woods.
  14. Your welcome, Got them from TFA. I only print up 20 or 30 at a time that way they are always fresh looking.
  15. Here you go http://home.comcast.net/~9133sur/NoGuns-back.pdf http://home.comcast.net/~9133sur/NoGuns-front.pdf
  16. Welcome to our little slice of heaven
  17. If my bank post then I'm outta there. I WILL find somewhere else that wants my business. I have a card that I hand out when I come in contact with a "posted" business.
  18. Not really, just get a bill of sale when you sell a gun, that way if anyone comes looking you can show them where it went when it left your hands.
  19. No you got it muddy. 1 guns are NOT registered to you. 2 You fill out a 4473 so they can be traced back to you at any given time. Here in TN we have No gun "registeration" the info that is used to do your "background" check is done is deleted after (I'm not sure but you said 72 hrs). but the 4473 is kept for 20 years.
  20. I conceal carry most of the time. My concealed is pulling my shirt down over my OWB Bianchi 82 carrylock with my XD 40SC in it. If I am working it has been known to "show" but not intentally. The reaction most of the time is "what kind and what caliber" nothing more.
  21. Hey people, over on THR "somekid" has posted that both these bills were killed in the house, Tell me it ain't so.
  22. I do a lot of business with my bank (my kind of business and theirs), I was in collecting a down payment for an alarm system and the gentleman was acting "squirrely", you know eyes darting back and forth, checking everyone that entered very carefully. I had to ask was everything OK? He said, if I duck under the desk then you had better follow cause I saw a gun.. I looked at him a little strange and asked him was he expecting trouble, he said no but I'm always prepared. I said tell you what, if you duck under the desk then just stay behind me cause I ain't dieing in your bank, and if all they want is the money then fine but if they start shooting people then I will have to act and try and protect myself. I think maybe I scared him into reality, every time I've been in the bank since them he just smiles at me a waves with a relaxed smile on his face.
