1911 is the original 45, go with the 45 and then the 9 and while your at it get a 38 Super too, you’ll be happy with all three.

Back in the day when I got my first LEO job no one could afford the Pythons so we all went to the 686 since it was affordable and still looked good in a patent leather holster but wish I would have bought a Python sooner. My vote is for the Python in just about any barrel length but I’ve still got an original 686 boxed.

Georgia has the Outdoors Trader and it has numerous guns for sale, I think half of Georgia was selling their guns and the other half buying. Tennessee and Georgia site forums are equally good.

Good Morning/Afternoon All, New to the area and retired LEO/Military, originally from the Carolinas with family in Tennessee. Gun enthusiast, 1911 fan and can’t say No to the older Colts, the jury is still out on the CZ ownership of Colt, although I own one and the quality seems to be the same.
