  1. The frame and slide is feeling really good, I read up on Jerry Kuhnhausen shop manual and used a vise to tighten the slide and hammered down the rails a little bit followed by some lapping compound. There is very little play in both the horizontal and vertical direction. Having a beater gun definitely makes it easier to hammering the frame.
  2. That's a great looking gun, I have a 5" mono and it is my favorite gun. The best to your selling or trading the Baer.
  3. This is my first 1911 I bought about 17 years ago, had many rounds through it over the years and the finish was looking pretty bad. Decided to tighten up the frame to slide fit and experiment with laser engraving before refinishing it with parkerizing, figured it was already in bad shape so I couldn't mess it up too much more.
  4. Picked up a double stack Rock Island from Sportsmans, the price is pretty reasonable for low end ds 1911, 600. People seem to be polarized by Rock Island in terms of quality, however this one seems to be pretty good. I also have a tac ultra which had some nicks inside the barrel but this one seem okay, need to go shoot it though. The red dot is a bit blurry but the frame and slide fit is pretty good.
  5. Used Kimber 22LR Target Conversion Kit, newly re-anodized and in good shape. Comes with original kimber mag and also additional Ciener mag $220 or OBO
  6. Side table size 18.75" (W) x 24.75" (L) x 25" (H) made with a combination of pine and birch plywood, the drawers inner dimension is 10.5" x 7" x 2.25"
  7. I'm thinking about getting the 4.25" prodigy if I can ever sell my revolver. I looked on grabagun and they have a package deal for the 4.25" with 5 20-round mags for about 1375
