Tisas Regent fully Stainless HP copy. I made sure this was well built by looking very hard at the machining and metalwork before I bought it. Stainless has been a pox on guns, especially handguns for awhile. With SS usually coming in a few flavors with varying disadvantages. Ruger, which is often NOT stainless, or cast. AMT, which is galling and cast. Turkish guns seem to get the "skunk eye" from many people. So, before I bought this, having always wanted a SS BHP I took it all apart and looked it over very hard, looking for swirls, mold marks, punchouts, ridges from casting, etc...The machining on these Tisas HPs is PERFECT. I mean, amazing. The Belgians never made a SS BHP. They nickel plated some and chromed some, but never stainless. I'm positive that while some of the small parts on these Tisas guns are cast or MIM, the slide, barrel and frame are machined from billet. So I put this package together and like most of my BHPs, NEVER shoot it. It's just collecting dust. Tisas Stainless Regent BR9 with the following....Every Cylinder and Slide custom part offered at the time. Chromed extended slide stop. Extended safety (blued), billet firing pin stop, billet extractor, billet sear, billet wide combat trigger, billet "no bite" hammer, full set of new springs. Greenish G10 grips. Stainless buttonhead cap screw grip screws. Removed mag safety, of course. Installed it all and cleaned up the trigger, light but not so light as to be dangerous for EDC. PLUS: Box, cleaning tools, manual, lock, 2 13rd MecGar mags which came with it. PLUS: 5 Stainless 15rd flush fit Mec-Gar magazines, loaded but never used. (Ooooh, so shiny!) PLUS: a nice LAPG pistol rug and custom patch (like I do all my handguns) PLUS: a Lone Wolf threaded barrel, fitted to the pistol cause shooting suppressed is fun. PLUS: ALL the takeoff parts, the wood grips, pins, grip screws and parts removed for the C&S parts. Trade interests. G49, Daewoo Rifles or parts. Or whatever, maybe you have something I can't live without. Worst I can say is No. 480 612 3085 for more pics or to express interest. ds_sierra@live.com

I don't know WHY I think I need a 49. years ago, I took a Gen 2 G23 slide and bought the Brownells G19L slide and barrel unit for it. and had it engraved Glock-esque markings, even matching the SN on the frame. Put an obscenely light short trigger in it and it shoots like a dream. If I weren't devoted to 10mm I'd probably carry it.

These two abominations are like a bad girlfriend (probably a redhead) that no matter how many times she hurts me, I just keep going back again and again for another beating. Like a trailer park wife. Too much abuse is never enough. The Steyr GB. This is the latest one of about 4 or 5. I have no idea WHY I keep buying them. I find a nice one. Get it. Find some mags at obscene prices. Get those. Shoot it <100 rounds. Curse the whole time I'm cleaning it. Then sell it off, typically at a loss. Dumb. Glock's first victim. Coolest thing about this toad is the easy to load double feed mags, like an Uzi or Sterling. Gas delayed blowback like a P7. But far dirtier. Interesting crinkle coat finish on the frame of the commercial ones. Flat green parkerizing on the surplus .mil variety. Plain sights with dots and a decocker. The HK Volkspistole 70Z. Why. Just why. This damn thing. What an utter piece of crap. Straight blowback. Even the very rare "M" is kinda garbage, once the novelty of 6-3rd bursts at 1400rpm wears off. BRRT. The one in the pic is at LEAST my sixth one. Probably more but I'm embarrassed. I was slotting them and making them into (very fragile) SBRs for awhile using Airsoft VP70 stocks. Great wallhanger, not such a great or sturdy interface. The trigger is flippin' awful. Even with a Wolff spring to knock a pound off of it. No way to make it any better without sacrificing ignition reliability. The rifling is SO deep it robs the 9mm of velocity. Plastic frame 10 years before Glock. Ja ja. whatever. Honorable Mentions: P7 PSP/M8/M10/M13 Before the prices went stratospheric on these I owned at least 2 of each. Overrated garbage. Video game dorks know nothing. Sigh...my kryptonite. The "why the heck did I get ANOTHER ONE?" P9s. Prices are nuts on these now too, but I've picked up well-heeled examples for <400 back in the day.

Tan Tucktec folding kayak. Sit in type. Stores very well. Includes hay bail net that I store it in. Heavy stitched nylon strapped bag used to feed horses in trailers. Perfect for storing the kayak vertically. It's about 40lbs with carrier. No paddle included. I set it up. Used it once. It was fairly stable and I carried it around for awhile. Only for a chance to use it that one time. Been sitting in the garage since.

Old Fed Ord threaded barrel for Ruger P90. Budget stripped AR lowers for some engraving projects. Anderson, PSA, etc. Glock 49, New or lightly used. Daewoo rifles or parts.

The slide aesthetic is very nice. I have an insane gen4 20 that I bought, basically because the factory finish, it's like ATACs. Like it was done with a sponge. Word is that Apollo coatings did them for G-money. I had to buy it. Too weird to pass up. It's not the Megastar but it's almost as cool.

The SF is essentially unobtainium. ETA, corrected, lots of 21SFs if you wanna pay. The 4s and 5s helped a bit with the backstraps. Guys who have them want real money for em now. I spent years doing grip reductions and my best still can't come close to the slender shape of the M&P 10. Hardly a Glock hater. Been carrying a 19 for most of those decades. 1989 started carrying a Gen 2. Still have a half dozen Gen 2s. Don't take me too seriously, I don't.

Yeah. Gen 6.

This based on a few decades in the gun biz. All opinions are those of The Shocker and do not necessarily reflect those of the staff, management or sponsors of TGO. Glock. LOG. Hasn't changed the grip girth since introduction 1991? FNH. LOG. Fat and unwieldy. Sig, Anchor. Too heavy and low cap. XD...ha ha OK, slightly above the Dollar General HI Point. Smith SS framed (1006) heavy, low cap and mags are obscenely expensive. Plus no parts as its been discontinued for a bit. Megastar. Unicorn. Fat. 14rd but mags are 135 bucks ea. Cool Factor off the charts tho. (Waingro from HEAT) BREN10. When you wanna be the coolest gun nerd ever. GG&G/VLTOR now owns all the IP for the BREN10, and its been fully redesigned to take Tanfoglio mags. Call them and demand production, Detective Sonny Crockett! Tanfoglio. Great balance of price, girth and capacity. Hard to beat. Smith M&P. The 4" is just a teeny bit bigger than a G19. Grip is SVELTE for 15rds. Mags aren't obscene. Show your Mama that you carry a big boy gun now. Left off all 1911 types cause I live in the 21st century. Fight Me.
