  1. @Roaneman I too have never fired a Canik like @Choatecav. I previously had an SP101 and it was built like a tank. I did sell that years ago though, and I do miss it from time to time.
  2. I sold my G19 and got a CZ P-10C to replace it, I've been extremely happy since.
  3. Oo this post makes me wonder about my 18-3 (or 19-3 since it's .357)... Both of these are beautiful.
  4. I thought I read that, and figured I misread or embellished.... apparently I did not lol. Yeah I'll wait on this and the Springfield Kuna, want that too.
  5. Kinda want to get one, I love my Shadow 2 for competition, but wouldn't carry it. This carry model with the firepin block and decocker could be a winner, although the price-tag is a bit high at $1200+.
  6. Springfield Hellcat in Vedder Holster, microtech blade.
  7. My favorite has to be CZ-P10C, it's just something that I can shoot very well with. My second favorite would have to be the Ruger Vaquero.
  8. I haven't had any issues with my P-09C, I have about 300 rounds through it so far. I used the short screws that came with the holosun 407k. Given, I did not throw a light on it yet, that could be my next test, but I only have an Olight PL mini 2.
  9. Thank you again everyone! @doug77I have family in the UP, child years was in the thumb, then late teens/20s were around Detroit. Thank you @Jpoc700. Just had a long weekend at Rock Island State Park in those cabins, was amazing!
  10. Thank you @Jamie Jackson! I'll take a look at the companies you mentioned. I would say I'm a mediocre shooter. Just went to the back of my property a couple days ago to throw some lead at steel with my brother and a friend. Was fun, need to get out there more.
  11. Nice! I didn't know Magpul made made grips for the 1911. I got a couple from Lok Grips, one for my Ruger SR1911 and CZ Shadow 2.
  12. I have one of those G.P.S. Tall Range Backpacks the wife got me about 8 years ago or so. It's worked out very well so far. For rifles, just a cheap Gander Mountain hard case.
  13. We were about an hour+ north of Austin, it was not far enough from Austin. TN is absolutely God's country. Some of the most gorgeous sunsets I have ever seen!
  14. I tend to have a few sets of magazines. A couple for range (empty), a couple for EDC and extendos for home defense (both always loaded) and a couple spares I keep unloaded.
  15. When I first started carrying, it was open carry, then I thought about it and have been concealed. Many of the points have already been mentioned.
  16. I have one that's M18 variant that I messed around with, wilson combat grip, DPM recoil, philster holster, I probably will end up selling it. Just sits in the safe and I'll need the cash. It's fun to shoot, just not something I would carry.
  17. Hello! I'll keep my name as Mongoose for now. I'm originally from Michigan. We moved from MI to Texas then to middle TN. I should've skipped the middle man and moved right here. Absolutely love this state! I used to shoot PPC matches back in MI, then got into Cowboy Action a little bit while in TX. Never got into IDPA or USPSA. Now a days I just shoot steel behind the house here and there. I think my main caliber would be 9MM, since that's the majority of what I have. Got a 5.56, 45ACP and a .308 and a couple 12g. Couple of .22s for the kids. I recently got into reloading as well. Fine-tuning my load. Currently it's 4.2g of titegroup throwing a 124gr round nose from Berry's. I appreciate that there's a forum here for chatting and for potential sales, eyeing that Springfield Kuna and would need to make some room in the safe for it/fund it haha. MI had a very similar forum as well. Thanks for having me.
  18. I'm rather new to reloading, I do have my bench set up, Dillon reloader is good to go. I was able to get some components on sale, Powder Valley, RMR Bullets, Berrys, Midway have all been good when sales hit.
  19. Just a G-Shock.
