I was in group 7 and had a great time.
Looking forward to seeing those videos!
Hey, me too
-
finished my first IDPA.
it was great!
thanks for the advice from you guys. Had no issues with the Serpa.
I am pretty sure I will be back.
It was great and you did really well, I was in your group (starting on stage 7) and was the S.O (running the buzzer and giving range commands) when Dave wasn't. You were shooting an xd right? If I had remembered your screen name I would have put 2 and 2 together and realized it was you.

Will there still be an IDPA match at ORSA this weekend? I pre-registered yesterday and have not gotten any feedback. Not sure if I should have gotten any response or not.
but, one question, can I use a Blackhawk Serpa holster with the paddle mount config?
The blackhawk is fine, using a paddle config should be fine as well, they won't be checking for daylight anyways.

Me too, haven't been in almost two years, gonna shake off the cobwebs! I'm psyched!

update and late additions. There is a slight possibility I won't be there, stuff yes, me, maybe not. The G17 mags may be an out of sight item if someone wants to pick up some, please ask about them. Also found a set of warren/sevigny competition glock sights - two front posts, one is solid black, the other fits a fiber rod. Left 1 arrendondo +6 extension on a g17 mag that'll run 35, other four are 18 each.

Awesome work mav, way to stay on top of those measurements! I've been the same weight for about three weeks, around 162, but have been centering my training around my races instead of fat loss so theres no wonder there. Of course I still may be losing fat considering i'm running and swimming now instead of just biking. Triathlon next week!!!

Goal - check
Accomplishment - check

Excellent post MAV, haven't seen many training splits like that, interesting indeed. I'm a fatty though, damn you and your genetics:lol:

Since I want to keep this thread going, I decided to post my results after two weeks into my new diet.
My initial bodyweight was a little lower than I had anticipated.
Inital bodyweight: 173 lbs.
After 2 weeks: 183 lbs.
Gains
Biceps: 0.50"
Forearms: 0.75"
Chest: 1.00"
Waist: 0"
Shoulders: 2.00"
Legs: 0.75"
Calves: 0.50"
Overall I am very pleased and quite surprised with my results thus far. My abs have actually gotten better since I have actually started working them (funny how that works).
While the results are great, I might back off the calories a little. Averaging 5 lbs a week naturally is a little much. It is making me a little tired. I am sure some of the weight gain is from water since I am supplementing my diet with creatine.
The next couple of weeks will be a good indication of whether I need to adjust anything.
Thats awesome man, most people bulking would be lucky to get 10lbs a month without getting pudgy. If your only getting 150g of protein remember water is lbm and it has a tendency to bind with carbs and stick around alot longer, keep drinking a buttload of it though with that creatine intake. I cramp up quite a bit when i'm taking creatine and drink about a gallon of water a day! Your last sentence is key, whether bulking or cutting, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd say hitting a wall in strength gains for more than a week or seeing the middle grow for two weeks would signal at the very least a macro adjustment if not a daily intake adjustment.

But no seriously... if anybody didn't know:)

ROFL, how did I miss this thread... couple of invites incoming to the TGO cycling group we have. I ride several times a weak, on sparsely populated roadways mostly, please don't hit me with a bottle in the c-spine area - that kills... If someone throws something at me i'm hiring JReed
-
Be careful riding the motorcycle in to take the test. I have heard of automatic fail and ticket for riding to the testing station. Supposedly happened here in Hamilton County which I would not doubt.
haha, I drove mine to the testing center, took my exam and the lady at the counter said 'is your bike here', yep, 'did you ride it here', yep, 'no reason to take the driving test then'. Sweet.

Did the movie go DIRECT to DVD?...otherwise...I see RED DAWN REMAKE as a FAIL
It got shelved as well as the new Bond movie due to MGM going belly up, they are partnering with Sony to release their completed projects from the last year if I understand correctly.
IMDB shows a release sometime in 2011. However, the cast is a bunch of unknowns, and no big name director/producer.............so I am guessing crappy performance at the theaters or direct-to-DVD release. Hopefully, I will be wrong. The original didn't really have any A-listers either. I'm thinking the cast of the remake, being up and comers are actually more popular than the original cast. Don't know of anything the originals were in previously except for Swayze and Howell being in the outsiders. Many of them got big afterwards though. I also thought I heard the director or producer was the same guy that did the bourne series... could be wrong.
-
wait, are you saying you can't carry in banks, or can...? Cause you 'CAN' so long as they aren't posted
-
Thought I would bring this thread back from the dead... I check on this periodically to see if MGM/Sony has any plans on releasing the completed film, rumor has it this summer, but not seeing any previews has me in doubt.
-
That is a huge amount of weight loss. Congratulations.
Based on the small number of posts, I don't know if this thread is going to make it. I guess there isn't a lot of interest on the matter. That's too bad.
Thanks buddy! Feel free to join me on John Stone Fitness - Fat Loss, Muscle Building, Body Transformation and Inspiration its a good little community. Judging by your goals from 1st post i'd say it would benefit you significantly. Keeping a journal helps too. I'm no ectomorph expert and don't pretend to be but anytime I hear of someone taking in that many calories it gives me chills Take weekly measurements to make sure your waist isn't increasing with your biceps (example), well it will, but not too much anyways.
-
Sorry, now i'm 164lbs and cutting.
-
'Trash' my good man... we're working on it. Anything made up of 'starch' polymers can be used, the efficiency of doing that however is difficult.
IDPA at ORSA on June 2? Also, question about holster
