I am not sure that 21st Century America is going to have a choice in whether it spills into the streets or not. I believe they have been running test via the "Flash-robs" across the country to see what the Americans will take, and so far there does not seem to be a general outcry. Let the grocery stores have empty shelves, and hitting Sears or Victoria's Secret will seem mild in comparison.

I think this is the central node, quoted from the article: We spend so much time here discussion "Private Property" issues, is your money, that you have earned and saved not your private property? -
"Unregistered Gun"? AKA-Run for the Hills!!!!!!
Worriedman replied to ffr1910's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I know I am getting old, but not too many years ago, any small town in Tennessee had a line of farmer's pickups sitting in the parking lots of restaurants and parts houses, with a cattle stick in one set of hooks and a 12 gauge or "beater" rifle in the other displayed in their back windows. Nobody had ever heard of a permit, and nobody asked any questions or thought it odd. You put them behind the seat when you went to "town", Jackson, Memphis or Nashville, as there were thieves there, otherwise they lived in the racks. A different age now, but not sure a better one. -
bkelm18, I see in the 3rd and 4th Amendments, instances where the Federal Government CAN NOT do certain things, but I really don't get your assertion that they deal with private property Rights. It has been described to me that private property rights are treated with in common law, and not in the Constitutions, either the one of the Union or State. Help me better understand your position please.

Ohio police threaten to execute permit holder video
Worriedman replied to aquaman67's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The point of posting this video was to show that rational LEO's can approach a situation with respect for the Rights of others and still do their job. And California has been out to limit firearms freedoms for years and years, this guy and a thousand like him expressing their limited Rights legally did not cause a bunch of anti-gun Liberals to further restrict their rights, it was going to happen anyway. -
Ohio police threaten to execute permit holder video
Worriedman replied to aquaman67's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The facts of the matter is, the guy was doing nothing wrong, (the Officer acted very professionally and said that he was within his Rights, and stated that he agreed with the person for exercising those Rights). The Officer responded in the manner that he should have. Once he determined the individual was not violating the law, he shook his hand, stated his name for the camera and gave his badge number. This "a**hole" as you put it, was breaking no law, and the Officer certainly did not give the impression that he felt like he was being baited. We need more like him, and less like the jerk in the other video. -

A different, but similar situation, and a much different reaction from the Officer. I am going to find this man and send him a "Thank You"! -
TGO is the only site that I am having this problem with, have not been able to run it down as a Firefox or IE issue so far...

Yes sir, IF I am running a full batch, (which I normally try to do). If I am working up a load and doing fewer cases I do not, I will hand wipe exterior and case mouths, but, if I am in full production mode and have 100's to do, it saves time.

I have checked the "Remember ME" space, about 150 times in the last three days, I reset the password to no avail. I am still having to login each time, and again to post each time. Will get my IT guys to check it today.
-
I know it is not a password issue, but it is happening in both Firefox and IE, tends to make me think it is a problem with a Windows update, (had a bunch of them on Monday when I shut down at work). Would not be the first bug that Windows 7 has gifted me. I have to log in again to post, after I get logged in to read.

That is the cool thing about stainless steel cut wire media, it does not stick in the primer hole. I am anal when it comes to my brass, I normally (for .223) buy once fired LC brass. The first round prep requires that I deprime and remove the crimp, use a Dillon Super Swage 600 for that then uniform the flash hole, then the primer pocket. I then run them through the Thumlers with the SS cut wire media, resize (single stage) run them a short time in the Thumlers again to remove lube, I then trim on the Giruad. I then load on my Dillon 650 with the first space empty. I anneal every fourth firing, and with this system approach I normally get 12-14 loads before I start seeing splits, the majority will go 16 loadings. Each successive loading goes a lot quicker as the flash holes and primer pockets are a one time thing, but I do the stainless steel media to clean before resizing and again to remove the lube.

Anyone else having a problem logging in? Up till yesterday it always "remembered" me, now I have to type in username and password every time I access the site?.

I think it makes a difference how many casings one is working at the time. I normally do lots of 1000, and that ends up doing 250 cases on .223 each batch. Using a spray lube, I will get some in case mouths, wiping with a rag, while it will remove the lube from the outside, is time consuming, and tumbling them after sizing gets all the lube off the outside and out of the case mouth, where it can tend to hang powder, especially the ball variety. The after sizing/lube removing tumble does not have to run long, and it results in ready to load brass.

Is ‘Project Gunwalker’ about to bust wide open?
Worriedman replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
At least we have a few in Congress willing to call the hand of the Administration on what appears on the face of it, to be criminal activity on the part of public employees e.g. facilitating the transfer of weapons to know criminals. May not be a "real" investigation in your eyes, but at least it is getting looked into instead of being summarily swept under the rug with no scrutiny. -
