Nice! Not usually a long slide fan but that is an exception.

My mom used to say the same thing about me.

I had to read the description to learn what was what while my 11 year old son comes behind me and names them off right from the top of his head. He loves Soviet era weapons! Awesome PPSH41! My son envies you!

I just swapped it out for an arched steel one 15 minutes ago. The weird thing with the plastic one was that it wasn't flush with the bottom of the grip. It worked fine but it just seemed odd to me. I'm looking forward to taking it to the range again. Between my Ruger P95PR and my Citadel, the 1911 wins hands down.

You know, I've never noticed the label Tactical on anything concerning it once . I just went back to look at the manual and case and there is nothing referring to it as tactical. It's simply labeled Full Size. Even on the Legacy website. I'm five foot seven and small handed so I actually have more of a hard time hitting the slide stop. I'm looking into getting an extended one for that reason. Operator error is always easier to correct than a mechanical one. I've got a couple Chip McCormick magazines and the ACT-Mag's work just as well as the CM's for mine also. After four hundred rounds the Citadel has yet to malfunction with any of the MagTech, WWB or Federal ammo I've put through it.

I saw one of these next to the 1911 I bought yesterday. Nice choice!
-
Thank you, jcj. I was never a fan of the bumper on full sized magazines until I used the ACT-MAG's. To me they seem better made than a few of the other 1911 magazines I handled yesterday. Getting mine refinished is something on my list. The grey is good by I wouldn't mind parkerized black. If your RIA is anything like my Citadel you won't be let down. Of course, I think going to the range is fun regardless.

It was worth the price! When I grow up I want to be just like Deadpool... well, maybe.

Well said and thank you. I have to admit I'm in love.
-
Thanks, John. I bought a couple GI issue 1911 mag's with it and the ACT-MAG's were awesome all around! I'd love to get a couple more.

greg & Sid: Honestly, I don't have another 1911 to compare it against and the last time I fired one was over ten years ago. I thought it was fairly smooth overall and oddly enought I found it easier to handle than my old 92FS.
-
My wife turned me loose to pick a 1911 so I chose the Citadel model. I couldn't find any RIA's and this is made by the same company so I went with it. Great piece with only one complaint: the main spring housing is plastic. Gonna be getting a metal one to fix that.

Rockin' bracelet, JPS!

Thanks for posting that! I really needed the laugh!

History of the World Part 1 comes to mind. Mel Brooks playing King Louis saying "It's good to be the king."

Bloomberg has shown his tendencies to run NYC in ways that brings to mind of Daley with Chicago. Term limits is a good thing and it's a shame NYC doesn't have them. Hey 6.8, I'm glad someone else knows about Pamela Gellar and Atlas Shrugs.

Gates Orders Marine Corps Force Structure Review
jgm219 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's just a revival of the classic, beaten to death arguement of why do we need two branches for land operations. The Marine Corps provides vital naval operations that the Army and Navy cannot provide without using special operations. I know that goes without saying. Last time I checked, the Corps was said to last another five hundred years after Iwo Jima so that gives them another 435 years on their "experation date". The Corps'll go no where else but to war or humanitarian missions when needed. God bless our Marines and thank you for what you do is all I can say . -
Remington HD ammo in a full choke barrel? Should I trust it?
jgm219 replied to jgm219's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
As soon as I saw tungsten, I was puzzled. I thought of the green tip 5.56mm rounds immediately. Remington seems to make one believe that the bronze lead mixed in makes a difference. I kept going back to the "yeah, but tungsten is a steel product" myself. The rounds don't seem too HD capable for a HD shotgun with a full choke. Update: Question resolved. Please lock this thread. Thanks! -
Hey all. I received two boxes of Remington HD Ultimate Home Defense shells in BB loads for Fathers Day and honestly, I don't know if they're suitable for a full choke 12 gauge. I prefer my 00 buck lead rounds that I have now but with these rounds being Tungsten-Bronze-Iron I'm dubious of the bulge issue. I know steel's not for a full choke and an unknown thing like tungsten makes me wonder. The only thing I can find on the issue around the net is penetration tests but nothing more on choke issues for these shells. I've found the Remington HD shells are expensive at $25 - $30 per box of ten so at $3 a shell these are pricey as hell and like I said, I'm not comfortable on picking them over the 00 or even 000 lead shot. Anyone have any ideas on the use of the rounds with a full choke? Thanks in advance for the help, too!

Superb movie and a very moving story. I recommend it to any patriot. Patton was right when he said we should thank God that such men lived.

Man walks into a bar with a giraffe and orders two shot of Jack. He downs his while the giraffe licks his glass empty. The giraffe falls over dead as a doornail and the man turns to leave. The bartender says "Hey! You can't leave that lyin' there!" Man says "Lion? That's a giraffe.”

What can I say? I'm all over the map! I can't decide which I love more from Jimmy Stewart; It's a Wonderful Life or The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. As far as Milla, I love hot women who can kick a$$ and she's the best at it.
